Why not make a hunting season for them? The meat is good and you would fill your freezer. It would be a good fill in hunt between elk tags. The problem then could be controlled by hunter and they could make money with tag sales.

Thats funny, I was confused that someone was looking for a decent pair of binos for 1-500$, which I thought was nonexistent today. Then when the light came on that this post was 7 years old I laughed.

Most of the winter range was burned last summer, a lot of moonscaped terrain where the elk spend much of the winter. This will have an effect on antler growth throughout the unit, just because there was simply less food for them this winter.

That's sounds like a great way to get a guided hunt. Does it include food and sleeping accommodations. After your hunt is there any penalty to not keep on paying membership fees if you decided to opt out?

Yah I read the post, you obviously think the forest are safe if you have fireworks in your concrete jungle, but do you really think everyone is only going to light fire works of in phoenix? Nope they are gonna say I found a place on coueswhitetail.com that is selling fire works, lets go buy some fireworks and beer and go camping up north where the weather is nice and we will have our own 4th of July. If we can close down tubing, bars and, gyms we should be able to close down the sale of sissy fire works.

Its bad enough up north right now with all the idiots from the valley still having campfires, because it is so cold in the mornings 45-50 degrees, we don't need even the sissy fire works anywhere in Az right now. look at all the fires going on right now, all we need is legal fuses for idiots to go camping with. On average there are 150-200 campfires put out every week after all the idiots head south back to there concrete jungles. Drink some beer and watch fireworks on t.v. if its that important to you.

There will not be any over flow deer from 22 into 21 they all went east, you should turn your tag in and not go hunting.

I can almost bet what tank it was, many people claim there spots early and they don't care who is first come first serve. Since I live up here and can monitor such places I do the forest service some good by removing abandoned stuff from the forest. many people leave stands and blinds on tanks and never hunt in them, they think it is going to deter people. if I don't see a person or they don't acknowledge they see me I walk up to tank and use there stuff during hunting season. when a hunt is not actively going on we remove the gear, we leave cameras. Its always nice when someone leaves their hunting equipment behind for you to use.

Looking at purchasing a small good spotting scope. Does anyone have field experience with the Kowa? Not looking for giant overweight spotting scope to look at the moon with just something smaller, light weight, and clear. Thanks in advance for your input.

As long as A3 is making money from the people that are willing to pay for big bulls the poaching will continue, isn't that what the original post was about. its all about money and everyone drools over the pics of the elk that A3 guides for every year and no one cares if they are taken legal or illegal.

Isn't it ironic that so many parents have to stay home with their own kids now that they think teaching is incredibly difficult. These parents are probably the ones who have raised their little snowflakes up thinking they are special little angels and these kids are disrespectful little terds in school. I wonder how many parents that are sitting at home having difficulties with their kids are actually thinking about their parenting decisions and the fact that teachers are having a tough time because the parents have failed to instill discipline and respect into their kids. Many parents are going to get a dose of their own lack parenting while staying home with their own brats. I think many teachers would enjoy their jobs more if the kids actually respected them and had the discipline to do the right thing in class.

That wolf tracking website only show wolves on the east side of az and a ways into NM. seems weird to me that they would not travel the same distance in all directions. Maybe they don't want any one to know how far they really are traveling. I believe a while back a collared wolf got hit by a car on I40 west of Flagstaff.

Oil consumption can come from a turbo, bad seals on injectors could cause oil to leak by and into the cylinder. just my thoughts.

The video worked for me, did you put a trail camera on an elk carcass to see what would come in and eat on it?

I though about taking it on a javelina hunt, but just have not done it yet
