I have the early Dec tag .... How has the IA, bandit, BP activity been on the early hunts ?? Haven't been in the unit for a few years. What's the conditions?? Work / Life has kept me from scouting, so just going into the old faithfuls.

It was a tough hunt this year, Big Bright moon ,& Very warm. We spent most of our 10 days in the middle oaks, but we did hunt the high & low country as well. My son Seth took this buck on the 3rd day. The biggest we saw the entire hunt. Was a ton of fun dispite the conditions & lack of big bucks found. DH Sorry ... we were on the West side. & I think my name is Dave ???

Just wondering how it went?? I have the early W. hunt . I haven't been up to scout yet. Reports??? Antler growth ?? Range cond. ??? Etc. Etc. DH

Most all of Ash,Stump,Hunter,Miller,Ramsy...East side canyons are gone. I have friends down there that have lost everything, & some fighting to save the rest. This fire is far worse then the Wallow fire, as more lives will be afected. Be Safe... Be Strong Dave...aka Couesnut

I've asked the same thing on this site years back?? & got little response. I know of only 3 confirmed TRUE cactus coues. VERY RARE INDEED!!! One was killed by Jay Gates in New Mex. in the late 80s. A huge 158" toad, weigh opprox. 140 lbs. (See his book) One killed by Bill Sathoff in old Mex. in the early 90s, that I witnessed. Young buck, 13 pts.?? 106" ?? One killed by one of the Mattuachs?? I talked to him & have seen pics. Bret "Bullwidgen"would know more on that one. I do have Pics. of the other 2 I would like to hear more as well. DH
