Gonna do 37b and 33 combo for general archery and 24b for HAM. Any suggestions on something other than those? It'll be my wifes first javi hunt so hoping for success. Any advice is appreciated
-
I know 33 & 37b have leftover tags but for ham its a shorter hunt so I thought closer to town would give me more opportunities

Sorry never done this before. If the wife andI put Iin on same application for the same unit, if I get drawn (or vice versa) does she get drawn as well? Putting in for archery draw and HAM draw.

Was up there all weekend, saw many vehicles with cw stickers. Just a friendly reminder. Baiting deer is illegal. I witnessed a person with a cw sticker on his truck exit his Chevy truck bow in hand carrying a plastic jug of bait. As soon as he spotted me he tucked the container under his arm to hide it. This was on Pioneer pass side going down from the top. Please guys we as hunters should be better than this. It's not legal.

I did report it. I saw the label on the container and recognized what it was. Just one container and yes did see plenty of deer and even drew back on one but after he moved I didn't want to take an unethical shot through braches.

maybe you are right, but how many of you reuse the bottles of c'mere deer and deer cocaine to store your granola in while bow hunting? No I'm not hall monitor. however I don't think its right for somebody to get away with illegal activity while the rest of us have to hunt by the rules

Well went up Saturday and checked many areas I was informed about. Glassed quite a few area's. We started up just south of Young. And wound up driving from there to cherry creek and all around back into Young then up north to the 260, back down 288 to workmans creek area and back into Young. 2 days 300+ miles of main and back roads and some areas that were hiking trails and covering numerous terrains and different areas. We saw 12 turkey, lost track on cows and horses, squirrels, rabbits and birds. Not one deer or bear.

Also sorry I forgot to put that while I may be able to due to some medical reasons my wife who's tag I'm working on can't do any serious hiking. So that made driving around looking for sign a bit easier.
-
Well everywhere I I got out and hiked I couldn't go more than 100 yrds without bumping another hunter or camper so the roads were the only open areas not flooded with people

Great job and congrats on a nice deer

I apologize if anyone took it as bashing. I wished him good luck with the sale and hope it goes well for him. I'm not against either the bow or the biscuit I just simply see where this particular combo has not performed favorably. I never questioned his ability either as a shooter. It wasn't meant as a debate and I will not hijack his thread to turn it to one.

Ok I was simply going off of what I've experienced working at an archery shop. The new hoyts do not paper tune well with the biscuits like the older hoyts did.And the constant contact from the rest transmits a different feel into the bow. I shoot without a grip for added accuracy purposes so I the grip thing is entirely personal. I have seen and personally dealt with many people who are shooting the new bows and try to transfer their old biscuit to It and are uunhappy but once they go with a full containment drop away they not only shoot tighter groups but like the way the shot feels better as well. Either way sir I wish you only the best of luck with the sale. These are super sweet shooting bows and once they are tuned and set up properly they are incredible. The new carbon bows are the best selling bows we have ever seen. I wouldn't trade mine for anything.
-
It won't out shoot anything with a wisker biscuit on it. None of the new Hoyts shoot well with one. I wish you the best on the sale but I think you should give the bow a fair chance too.

I'll be at archery headquarters. I won't be going till the 24th -
Oddly enough I just checked out the buck paklite system online. If it works well and holds an edge I like it.
