Yes the big triton 5.4 engine.

Well funny thing is I had blown a head gasket and had a mechanic do a complete head job on it and that was just earlier this year. Anyways he screwed so much crap up I would trust him to change my wiper blades. Sad thing is its never really ran right since and I just keep dumping money in it. But yes I think it has a small head leak causing the water in the oil. Debating doing a bottle repair and hope it holds me over till tax time to sell the dang thing.

Well got everything packed up and ready for a day of setting cams and scouting. Loaded the wife and kids up and off we go. Heading out on the 60 the expedition starts chugging really bad and acting funny then the check engine light was flashing. Pull over and start checking things and sure enough water in the oil and its foamy. Well there went $1500+ bucks and a day of scouting. Got back home and saw some really good deer on Facebook if that counts.

Thanks to those who actually answered my questions. I am heading out tomorrow

Thanks Phil.

I said that I do plan on going there and looking around. I simply asked about the roads to get in and what to expect for the country back there. Somehow that seems to mean I'm asking for someone to go tie a deer up and give me GPS coordinates. To those of you that are on this site and helpful thank you. I apologize to those that do not have or know anyone with medical conditions that make what some of us take for granted difficult to impossible. I am looking to take my wife to a spot and because of her health and medical conditions she is unable to hike long distance or handle really rough country. Because of that and my work schedule my time is limited so e scouting is usually very helpful to me. To all those that only have negative things to say, thank you for your comments. They make us all appreciate the good people on the site even more.

I plan on making the trip there. I wasn't asking for anyone to give me some secret spot or put me on deer. I just had some questions about back there. I am trying to get a blind set up for my wife. She wont be fully cleared medically to climb all over the place and hike all day so a blind seemed best. Hence why I asked to be pmed about it. To those that did and answered my questions thank you.

Sorry to hear about your camera. I do applaud you calling in and reporting the illegal activity you found. Hopefully the people on this site that think breaking the law is OK as long as it benefits them don't complain about it on your post. I think it's sick and disgusting to see things like this

Ok I've never been and just looking on Google earth it looks like a web of roads through the mine and I wasn't sure what to expect as far as the country back there.
-
Mainly curious about how to get back there and the conditions. Looking to put the wife in a blind. First coues, sorry if me reporting any illegal activity I've found has either disrupted your hunt or upset you. My apologies to all the criminals who get upset about being reported on.

Bird vest
Maverick351 replied to Maverick351's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Yeah I got a new gun not long ago then a new vest and I'm gonna go break in the vest this weekend. Maybe some quail but definitely some rabitts and squirrel -
Curious what you guys use for upland hunting. I got a new shotgun and am looking for a vest to use for quail and such. Will also have pheasants in it in time. Any suggestions?

I'm going for sure

Yes sir I just got it yesterday. -
I know of a few spots that have them. I've shot two now with my bow. They are cool little critters but expensive to mount. $1000 + depending on who you call or what you want.
