I had heard this before, so I called the Coronado National Forest Service and asked to speak with a Law Enforcement Officer. I asked him about baiting on forest service land, and his response was as long as AZ Game and Fish say it's legal, it is legal. He said the Coronado does not have any laws or rules dealing with baiting. He told me that they have an agreement with Game and Fish that allow them to enforce AZ Game and Fish regulations. But anything dealing with hunting, falls under the Game and Fish regulations. Now as for leaving the pipe feeder on forest land, after 72 hours, it is considered abandoned property, and can be taken down.
