Officials originally reported five bighorn sheep deaths. The bighorn sheep reintroduction program was created to help restore the herd and the ecosystem. It has received some criticism since officials have killed some of the mountain lions responsible for attacking the sheep. No mountain lions have been killed in connection to the last three attacks; two mountain lions were killed in other cases. The Bighorn Sheep Advisory Committee wants to stress not every mountain lion that attacks a sheep will be killed; it's on a case by case basis and only if they can be sure the mountain lion has been identified. Our Ag class / FFA program has been involved with this program for almost two years now, and will be deeply involved as the project continues. In one of the scenes you can see several of our students standing to the left of the trailer. Next month they will take pare in trapping some more antelope for release. They will be doing data collection on the animals, their movements, survival rates, habitat etc. it's a pretty cool project for the class to be involved in. Were these released in 34b or 35? And where is the next introduction planned for? There were were 4 herds in the past, the 34a herd, the Sonoita herd, the Elgin herd and the San Rafael herd. Just wondering where these ones in the video were released?

If he was on your property trying to force religion on you, I understand your concern. I must have missed something. Never met the guy, but he helped me with finding an area awhile back.

I think it is refreshing to hear both sides. I might not agree with everything AZLance has to say, but last time I checked he had a right to express his 1st amendment right. And he has brought up some valid points about some major problems with our Game and Fish Department. I support the department, but lately they seem a little mis-guided.

Do you think game and fish has a preset number of sheep that can be killed before they quit the reintroduction? Just wondering how many sheep they anticipated would be killed, and if there is a point that they will walk away from this specific reintroduction.

Unfortunately, hunters are their own worst enemy when it comes to trash. I always carry a trash bag.
