Who ever the Public Relations guy for the AZGFD is, he needs to quit or be fired. This is giving our State, our Department and us a hunters a bad name. Did they not plan ahead and have a story to tell if this situation happened, or did they have their heads up the sheeps proverbial a$$? Telling the public that this Is not surprising and they are still planning on putting more sheep in there is idiotic!

There was several game wardens publicly complaining that a few outfitters were having too much success (100% success). They were telling hunters that they were pushing rule changes to fix it. I believe that one of those outfitters is a member on here. And Outdoor Writer, if they are so concerned, why did they post on this site that baiting feral hogs is still legal? It just seems that there is a lot of confusion amongst the department on this law as well as amongst hunters.

Outdoor Writer, You are missing the point, It was never really about the spread of disease. That was just a talking point from Game & Fish. 1 month after the bait ban was passed the game and fish published a report saying there was no CWD in AZ.

This Friday, or early next week.

I got a photo radar ticket from City of Scottsdale and promptly threw it in the trash can. A month later I got another copy of the ticket in the mail, and that said they would be attempting to serve me. Well for the next 2 months I laid low and avoided being served. They only have 90 days to serve you. Well on the 85th day when I came home from work, there was a notice from the court taped to my front window saying I had been served. The notice said that a judge had allowed "alternative service" for my case. "Alternative Service" means that they don't have to hand it to you in person, they can simply tape it to your front door or window, and the court considers you served. I didn't believe it, because they couldn't prove I received it. Well 30 days later, I received a letter from DMV saying my drivers license and my license plate on my car had been suspended. What a nightmare! I had to end up paying the ticket, the fee for serving me, a fee to un suspend my license, and a fee to un suspend my license plate... And I thought that Scottsdale wouldn't come to Patagonia, AZ to chase me down...

Yes, congrats to both teams! Now if both teams could turn their baseball seasons around...

I figured since a few of you were mad this is being drawn out on this forum, we might as well get this over with now. And since it is only a matter of time. We might as well start talking about the 30th and 31st sheep that were just killed by lions. Who is pissed that all of the sheep re introduced in the Catalina's have died now? I believe it is very sad that all 31 sheep plus their lambs have been sacrificed so the department could "experiment" with our states most prized big game animal. Although it was most likely well intentioned, it was not thought out very well. Hopefully we can learn from this loss of hunting opportunity and move on with the knowledge that we can't go to bed with the enviros and win. Maybe if we discuss this now, we can come up with a defense for our department and us as hunters before we are actually get crucified in a few months when the inevitable happens.

I wouldn't blame the hunters who post their concerns over a department that has gone astray. I would blame AZGFD for going to bed with the environmentalists! This current department has singly handly destroyed the quality of hunting in Arizona, and ruined the reputation of the department and of hunters. It's a sad day for the real conservationists in Arizona, the average hunter.

I keep looking at the Game and Fish web page and their monthly wildlife news... I haven't seen one story on the bighorns being killed off or any updates. I guess they are not proud of killing of 15 of Arizona's prized Bighorn, and reducing bighorn hunting opportunities.

I predict the AZ G & F will try to re introduce Bighorn Sheep into the Jaguar area, and then will act surprised when the Jaguar starts eating them.
