Bluedevil did you end up going? I've been in 28 for 2 weeks and nothing! I'm going by Bonita Friday morning. If you went do you have any pointers?
-
Hey guy, I have been hunting my rump off in 28 from Hooker's Gap all the way to Mocho Tanks for the last 2 weeks on foot and glassing both every single canyon and draw and nothing. Literally 50 plus miles thru that rough stuff and only found where a few elk jumped the fence last week but already back in the res. Anybody have any different areas to check? I keep hearing about Bar X Ranch, O/O Ranch, up on top by Riggs Lake and Bonita, but those are big areas and only a few days to get it done:( Is there any certain areas I should check? I'd be just tickled with a cow at this point as I need to fill the freezer and only a few days left to get it done! Any ranchers need a elk taken off their property? Lol Any help is GREATLY appreciated at this point! Thanks in advance!!

What are you thinking? -
I have 8 boxes of Berger .270 Cal 130 grain VLD Hunting bullets. I got them whenever they were on the shelf at Sportsman Warehouse over the last year with the intentions of getting into reloading, but now instead I am going to get into bow hunting and just don't need them. $300 takes them all. No trades. It's already a good bargain so please no dinkering down. I travel the whole valley daily so I can meet. 602-448-2872. Thanks.

I am not new to hunting by any means! I am from Eastern Oregon have always hunted anything I can hand on a tag for, especially Mule Deer, which I have take a 176 that is 32 1/2 wide and a 190 so far. I now live in Maricopa, AZ and drew my first Coues tag for unit 24b, 2nd rifle season, which is the first week of Novemeber. I have read a lot on Coues deer, never hunted them or been in 24b and if anybody is looking for a hunting partner for this hunt that knows this area at all I'm game!! Forwarn, I am a hard core hunter and have no problem hiking my butt in the most rugged stuff and do so happily to get to places most won't think about! I just know nothing about this unit and very little about Coues deer but hoping to take a pretty good one this year regardless! If anybody wants help scouting and/or a hunting partner for this unit let me know! I am not interested in road hunting and just staying within 1/2 a mile of the road, I hunt! And yes I do keep secret spots secret! I'm pretty laid back and easy going and serious about hunting, ask my wife, she will roll her eyes 20 times over! lol

So I have lived in AZ for a few years and last year just started getting into hunting here. Have always gone back home to Oregon to hunt. Last fall bear hunt in 23N I found one heck of a little canyon with TON of bear sign in there, acorns galore, but it was the last day and I think I blew them out. Took 3 hours to go just one mile to get in there and I am like a billy goat in rough country, lol. No water was in there though. And I spent the rest the day figuring out how to get there without blowing them out next time, which I think I have found a way....ROUGH as heck in there! My question is since I am new to bear hunting pretty much, only killed one in Oregon and that was a fluke. Will the bears be in that same little canyon this spring or will they move some where else for spring feeding to eat on something else? I want a spring bear rug! And also, is there any general area that they tend to be at in the spring in 23N? I don't want anybody's honey holes, not a thief that way! lol Any advise I sure would appreciate, thank you!

Only used one time, not a scratch on them! In the box with all papers! Very clear! I spotted a heard of cow elk up at almost 2 miles with them. Just don't need them. I will have them in the truck with me and I travel the whole valley daily for work so can meet. Paid $380 new little over a year ago. First $200 case takes them. Call or text at 602-882-6301 anytime.

I have a Lead Sled Plus, used only 2 times, and looks brand new. I personally prefer sand bags, but it's great for kids or for those heavy mags. I can post a picture tonight when I get home but looks new. I also have 2 of the 25 lb weights that fit perfect in it to go along. First $60 takes it and the weights!

Sale pending for Friday at latest.

Just one step closer to taking away hound hunting, they've done it California and Oregon! The more they take away in little steps the easier it is and less noticable! Against this 100%! Before long if we allow them to keep taking away our rights we will be stuck with sling shots trying to kill an elk....and with non-lead by the way!

Speedygoss yes I am! Thank you everybody for the pointers, I really appreciate it! I was kinda of lost on these little Couse deer, never hunted them before! If it was Mulies it'd be no problem....but it sounds like these little Coues deer are going to be blast to hunt! Again thank you all for the help! I am going up there in couple weeks to go scouting and I'll post my findings! Totally excited!
