I was really looking forward to this hunt as soon as we found out he's drawn. I had limited time to scout due to other hunts and other commitments. I did get some good info from my buddy Jeff, it came in handy. Right out of the gate on opening morning we were on an absolute PIG of a buck. Armando got 5 shots at this giant and couldn't find his mark, it was tough to watch. We pressed on after that buck finally fled to another county. It was his tag and I didn't want to tell him what and what not to shoot. As long as he would be happy and satisfied so would I. This 2x3 popped out at 110yds, he wanted to shoot. He got lined up and 10 ringed him. he looked at me and said Im so happy I shot that buck. Here is the results of a quick but fun hunt. Armando's 1st muley.

So I just got back from a 2000 mile round trip drive/hunt. (We took the scenic route home). The posse was my 5 year old Son, my 13 year old Nephew Armando who had the tag and my 15 year old Nephew Tre' who wanted to come along. I pulled and all-nighter on Wednesday/Thursday to make my destination. Thursday I did my best to get familar with the area. We weren't allowed on our HMA until Friday. So I glassed from County roads and saw a few lopes. I had gotten some info from a buddy who lives near the area and the pointers were very helpful. So sunrise on Friday arrives, right out of the gate I glass up a shooter buck for us. Well after a missed shot and several more busted stalks, my Nephew made a 240yrd shot on this buck. I'm not sure who was more pumped, him or I. So I went to the truck, gathered my Son and other Nephew for a skinning/gutting lesson. We got the lope all cut up and on the packs. But not before snapping off a "Posse" photo. All in all it was a great trip, hope to do it again some time fairly soon.

Nice bucks guys, congrats!

Thanks, you'll do well up there, I'll shoot you a PM here in a litttle bit. AC Guy: Taped him with the cape on in camp and got 188 3/8. Taped when I got home with the cape off and got 190 3/8, so he's 190ish. Rifle was the method of take....
