I assume you haven't hunted 3c? The deer in 3c don't rut till December every year. Long after the October hunts. The strip bucks don't even start rutting til November and that's early for AZ.

If you're willing to wait 13b is a no brainer. if you don't want to wait 15 years possibly then try those other units. But know in any of the hunts without a guide could be real difficult for a 180" buck and even with a guide you're not guaranteed to kill a b and c buck.

Yeah it was a tom, the guys with the dogs don't kill females so we had to confirm it was a Tom before shooting it. We were kind of confused because the head really wasn't all that big like most toms but the body was big. We eventually were able to see the brown spot that confirmed it was a tom. We didn't weigh it but judging off sizes of other cats we guessed around 130-135 pounds.

Anyone here gonna put it out there that there is a chance the person shooting caused the animal to not die? Everyone is quick to blame the broadhead but I've seen animals get shot with large caliber rifles that still get away or didn't bleed much. Was it the bullets fault? Or was it where the shooter put the bullet? I've used rage hypodermics the last three years and every animal shot dies within sight with blood everywhere. The shock collars on them work as designed as long as you put them on correctly and don't push on the tip of the broadhead to make it break and open up.

It's a fantastic time for it to hit. Last year it was dry all the way til beginning of July. It had just started getting dry up here near Heber from our last storm beginning of March. This should keep tanks full and some good grass growing till end of may. Hope for another storm end of may and it's gonna be one of the best years for growth in a long time!

I thought clintb's response was pretty calm and answered everything you claimed he was lying about dano. If he put everything in the truck that comes in a bulletproof kit then I'd say the truck has been bulletproofed. Whether he did it one piece at a time or all at once.

I don't think there is any certain decoy that works better. My dad used a piece of plywood cut In somewhat the shape of an antelope and used fluorescent orange paint with white and black paint to color it. Looked terrible but it pulled in a 83" goat in 4b that he killed in the early 90's. Anything somewhat resembling an antelope will work if it's used right and at the right time.

Cool story bro, haha kidding shouldnt have a problem finding an elk on that hunt. They will still be bugling. So follow bugles and you'll find plenty of cows with him.
