How you play your odds? Of course, you can't waste BP on a unit that fills up with max point holders, but how exactly do you "play the odds" with sheep. Without max, you are looking at about.1-2% draw odds accross the board, no matter how many BP you have. Unless you hold max for sheep, BP's don't really matter in any unit.even with max your odds are still really bad, out of max your practically the same odds as a guy with two points. I don't know the guys but I agree three of them pulling tags in one year is very strange.

No, it doesn't. Could be any one of your choices assuming you put really unwanted hunts as your 3rd-5th.

Must have just showed up because I don't see azgfd working at 3 in the morning but maybe they are going all out this year.

Out of State hunting license question?

Huh? -
It's not, he colored in the background so Noone could figure out where it is.

I would say that's correct. The start growing earlier so I would assume they finish a little earlier. They just put on more bone faster. I'm sure those 400"+ bulls grow a little longer to get those extra inches but who knows.
-
He is gonna be nice for sure, but big bulls like can't just keep growing bigger and bigger than they are capable of. I bet he is done growing middle of July or so. But no way he goes into august still growing.
-
Apparently the program that adds photos has a mind of its own. It put them all out of order but just look at the dates and the ones without dates are from July 20th.
-
Sorry for sideways photos. First pic of this bull is June 30th so pretty close to beginning of july. Next two pics with dates I believe are July 20th or so. The last two pics are July 26th. You can definitely see growth from the 20th to the 26th. His extra point grew and his fifth and main beam definitely put on some inches. By the looks of it July 26th all of his points are out to a sharp point and not balled up so he was pretty much about done.

I have a bunch of pics of bulls all through the summer last year and from what I could see they were putting on inches til end of July. I believe once they stop growing the antlers are hardening for a few weeks before the velvet get scraped off.

Hope he turns out good for you! What part of the forest were you in mulepackhunter? 3c 4b? -
Just seeing if anyone is interested in this set of elk antlers. They have 62.5 inches of mass and score 357" with a 40 inch spread credit. They weigh over 25 pounds together so remember I could sell them for $375 just as they are for weight. Not really sure what I'd be interested in so just throw it out there if you have something. Worst I can say is no. Call or text Blake 928-240-3567 or message on here.

The dad was full plott. Mom is walker blue tick. The brindle is on hold for someone. Best way to get up to date details is to text jed or call him. I'm just posting for him. He said he has another darker brindle that is still available. -

Nope they are all natural. They were found in a burn area so he had been rubbing on black trees all year to make them so dark. -
This morning my friends that have dogs and I went out lion hunting and we were able to cut a good sized track. After waiting til sun up we let out and the dogs were right on him. As we got to what we thought was the tree he was in we realized he was just backed up against some rocks and was fighting with some dogs. A few dogs were a little cut up when we got there but nothing major. After about ten minutes the cat took off and when we got to him again he was just sitting in the middle of a creek swatting at the dogs as they circled around him. Eventually he took off again but just started walking and didn't seem to care the dogs were right on him. he would stop and swipe and hiss and continue walking. occasionally he would grab onto a dog and throw it around but the dogs just kept coming back for more. he finally stopped again in some brush and swiped and hissed and eventually he went into a small little cave where he backed in. There was a small hole out the back that he squeezed through but my friend was waiting there with his bow and shot him twice to kill him. In the end all the dogs were fine. Just a few cuts and bleeding a little. It was by far the craziest chase I have ever seen and one I'll never forget. Definitely the meanest Tom I've ever seen. Here are some pics. Don't know how to imbed the video so just click on the link. For some reason it doesn't want to post each video individually so after you click the link and watch the first one click the arrow to go to the next video. There are three. http://i1270.photobucket.com/albums/jj603/bonecollector777/Mobile%20Uploads/th_20150303_091218_zpsgel0jfrb.mp4

I saw a 6x6 yesterday in 3c that I would very comfortably say was about 320". His fifth point was already about 5 inches. I'd assume with another month and a half to grow he should be 360"+ when he finishes out. Maybe bigger.
-
He ran it down and killed it with his bare hands. Or maybe he shot it?

What units did you apply for?

How about we don't let the secret out let them continue to waste their apps. Odds are bad enough as it is. -
Don't put in. Better odds for me!

IF he truly didn't get drawn for his tag and there were left overs there is a good chance he simply wrote down the wrong hunt number and thinks he applied for the hunt with leftover tags. It happens year after year, people are convinced they applied for a certain hunt and when they look back at receipts they screwed up and put the wrong hunt number. And there is a chance your buddy at the range just doesn't know what he is talking about. I suppose there is a small chance the draw system just screwed up but I highly doubt it. If I were him I'd be happy to not have burned my bonus points during the draw and got the leftover tag, got to hunt the hunt I wanted and still kept my points for next year! Win win situation.
