While taking my guides test last week I specifically asked about that rule. Any salt goes ( rock salt, block salt, table salt, water softener salt,) and then any livestock product that is salt based ( block salt) because other than block salt there is no other product made for livestock that is salt based. Any buck jam, deer cocain, trophy rock etc. Is illegal. Now it's only illegal to hunt over according to law. They tried to claim you couldn't even put it out to get pictures but I think that's crazy. If a random photographer wants to bring in wildlife to take pictures it's not illegal so if a hunter wants to get pictures it shouldn't be illegal either. But if you're caught hunting over it or near it they will give you a ticket. Even if you're not the one that put the product there.

Don't quote me but I've heard a certain individual received $10,000 for finding the auction bull about a month ago. He found him in 2013, lost him last year and found him this year bigger than ever.

Not really, just because the guy that bought it is one of the owners brothers doesn't mean it was a family hunt. I wasn't there but I do know they had multiple guides watching this bucks every move for days before the hunt, keeping tabs on him until the morning of August 15th when he could shoot it. Not saying there is anything wrong with that just seems like it was the usual show up and shoot deal.

You can use any type of salt you want. And any salt based product produced for livestock. Nice buck!

Anyone that buys it is obviously very wealthy and can afford all the help they need. I'd assume they do it to make sure they get their money's worth when they kill. It is kind of lame a lot of them are back at home and then get a phone call, hop on a plane, show up and shoot. But when you pay $100,000-$350,000 for a tag I think they should do whatever they feel like. If I had the money I'd probably do the same.

It has a license plate so yes it's legal. Not any different than pulling any other trailer down the road. -

I have a manners eh-5 with adjustable cheek piece being made now. Ordered it end of April and just called them a couple days ago and they said 2 more months! I don't have a hunt so it's not a big deal but 6 month wait? That's crazy.

Just wait in Morenci, they are everywhere

Uh. . . . What?

Gonna say 340'ish as well. Tough to see his fronts but a good solid bull.

I believe the law says salt is legal as long as it is produced for livestock. Salt blocks, rock salt are all good to go. Sadly trophy rock isn't made for livestock so they consider it illegal. Stupid law if you ask me.

Auction Elk Hunt, Units 3C, 1 and 23 North Interview with Jed Larson

That there is where the problem lies. Too many people willing to do ANYTHING to get noticed or to get a "leg up". I (and many other people) would rather never compromise morals, integrity or even my association with others to get gain. I guess I need to reword what I said earlier. I didn't mean for it to sound like it's OK to do whatever you want to get sponsors (poaching etc.) I'm saying these days guys that seem to be the most outgoing and social media crazed and kind of into themselves are guys getting the attention from a lot of companies. Maybe the companies see a lot of people talking about them whether good or bad and want the publicity. I know what kind of person you are and know you're nothing like that Houston, as a matter of fact most great hunters I know just keep to themselves and don't parade their success around. But in the end whether we like it or not parading the success all over the Internet is what seems to be getting companies attention. -
Auction Elk Hunt, Units 3C, 1 and 23 North Interview with Jed Larson

Gray light aka Marlon didn't have his hunting privileges taken. It was a misprint. He had several charges against him that were dropped in regards to shooting two mule deer. Not sure which charge stuck but I know he paid $8000 for doing something he shouldn't have. This is according to game and fish meeting records. He does seem into himself but I'm not saying I wouldn't like to be where he is regarding sponsors (vortex, hoyt) he does whatever it takes to get the sponsors and I don't blame him. -
Not saying it's happening today but my elk and antelope results aren't there anymore
bonecollector777 posted a topic in Mule Deer Hunting
Stayed up late and decided to check the site. Wouldn't load for about 30 minutes then finally loaded and wouldn't let me see my draw results. Checked the old site for draw results and my results for elk and antelope don't show. Somethings happening, we can only hope it means results being uploaded! -
Everything back to normal now. Just teasing us!

I think it would be great to make someone have 10 points before they are eligible to draw. Would keep the undedicated people who randomly decide to put in or put their grandma in from drawing tags. I don't know exact numbers but I would guess more sheep tags are going to people with less than 10 points than more than 10 points. Sounds like a definite problem to me. Just read somewhere about a guy and his gf first time applying and one got drawn. I asked him what units and he said uh 46 or 45 or 43 or something like that. Now when his gf draws he is gonna have to explain to her what a bighorn sheep is and why she should go shoot one. Why should people like that ever have a chance to draw? guys like old buck and people putting in for 20+ years that will give it their all and appreciate what they have are the ones that should draw.
