That is correct. It gives everyone in the random draw a better chance whether you're residents or non residents. The ones that get screwed are the non resident and resident max point holders.

Time to put in! Draw is up

VORTEX Razor HD AMG Made in America
bonecollector777 replied to cactusjack's topic in Optics and tripods
I personally don't see anyone buying one when there are Schmidt and Bender, USO, Nightforce Etc. for the same price or cheaper. -
Just curious did the new draw changes change anything you had to do to figure out odds? With another 5% being able to go to anyone in the random pass?

I think it's just about like any other place. When you're a NR it's pretty tough for a good tag . Plus you don't build bonus points there. All pure luck every year.

5b and 19a are two of the top units right now. 10 has good bucks but with the number of tags it's gotta get annoying with all those people. 4a is another great unit. DO NOT put in for 4b with 25 points. Will be a terrible mistake. 4b used to be a good unit before they raised the tags to 30. Hunted 4b Archery with my friend two years ago and it was tough finding a buck over 80". Throw in 2 rifle hunts since and 4b is headed to the crapper. Give pronghorn guide service a call and they will tell you anything and everything you need to know about the units in AZ.

We were able to go with out friends that have hounds and kill this pumpkin headed tom. I found the track around 3 AM and at 7 we were running him. After an 11 mile chase he was up a tree right next to a road. One of the biggest heads I'd seen on one we caught.

From what I can see they are not for sale online and Glendale store is out of stock. Unless I missed something

I'm lucky enough to have friends with hounds and with last night getting our first snow we were out looking for tracks early. Right at light we cut a smaller track and let out. Within 250 yards we caught the cat. It was a younger Tom which we ended up letting go after getting some awesome pics. Getting back to the truck I received a call from another friend with hounds that had found another good track. Within an hour we were chasing another cat. As luck would have it the cat ran into a small cave that we couldn't get it out of. Eventually we scared it out and we're able to tree him and have another friend kill him. It was a great day!

Holy smokes! That's a beast. Az? -
Could be a lot of truth in this . . .Could you imagine the disaster it would be with the amount of people putting in for elk and antelope compared to Turkey and pig? It's a mess as it is for the spring draw if it happens to the mid winter draw I don't think they could ever sort it out.

Early Kaibab vs Late desert Muzzleloader vs 3A/C
bonecollector777 replied to DesertBull's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
3c sucks, little bucks everywhere. I'd try another unit. -
They're probably worried about coming out with regs and people wanting to start putting in while their system is still jacked up and not working.

Pretty sure the site automatically changes bad words into different similar words doesn't it?

Effects of so many monsters killed on the strip this year
bonecollector777 posted a topic in Mule Deer Hunting
I'm by no means an expert when it comes to deer management and all that but just was thinking about this the other day and wanted to hear your thoughts. This year there has been a ton of 200"+ bucks killed in 13b and 13a. Obviously due to the Antler growth this year we had more than usual but still seems like an abnormally large amount of big bucks being taken. There may have been years in the past that were just as good but I don't remember one as good as this. I personally believe more big bucks are dropping due to the amount of guides and amount of people those guides have working for them along with the technology these days. (Absolutely nothing against guides up there just my thoughts on it) With this many big bucks dying in one year and more and more people chasing the big guys year after year do you think it could have an overall negative effect on the deer up there? Say next year and the next they have great years killing monster bucks again. That has to have some effect on the deer population and what can come out of the strip in the future. Or maybe the genetics are so good they will just keep coming back year after year I don't know. What do you guys think? -
New Frontier Armory LW15 polymer stripped lower

Spf -
I bought this lower a few years ago during the craze and I finally got around to building an AR and just realized it will not work with the pistol grip I have. I am looking to sell it for $100 or Trade for a quality aluminum lower. If shipped out of state it will have to be shipped to an ffl. If in AZ I believe it can be shipped directly to you. (Correct me if I'm wrong) would be best ftf if possible. Thanks Blake 928-240-3567

New Frontier Armory LW15 polymer stripped lower
bonecollector777 replied to bonecollector777's topic in Classified Ads
Man, you must blind or stupid. Supply and demand. You can't find these stripped lowers anywhere. And back to the point of my last post I was simply stating what I believe the law is. I don't claim to know everything and I am not saying someone else is wrong. I'm just stating what I have seen regarding gun laws in my own experience. My biggest question is whether it has to be shipped to an ffl or not and according to his post I need to ship it to an ffl which I will do unless I find out otherwise. -

Thank you for the clarification but I believe it doesn't have to be shipped from an ffl. I've shipped many guns through ups to ffl dealers but have never had to have one shipped from an ffl dealer. -
I'll take it. I have a friend in benson or a friend in thatcher that can pick it up. Let me know. Thanks Blake

I got these from a friend who is selling some of his collection. They were cut off the skull im assuming to be able to get home. I'm no pro but following the boone and crockett measuring guidelines I've come up with a score of 220-225". According to Boone and Crockett all time is 224". Total weight of both antlers is 37 pounds. I really don't know what something like these are worth but throw me some offers and I'll think about it.

Tough to say exactly but as is on the plate it's 65.5" wide.
