I believe to an extent some rich people are still looked up to. It's when they have an advantage over middle to lower class people in something that shouldn't be able to be messed with because of money. The department was set up to serve everyone equally. We all pay taxes and pay the fees to keep them going so when something comes up where if you have money and that's going to let you have an advantage over someone it's not right. I don't blame the guy with the money for taking advantage of it I just think they should never have the chance to take advantage in the first place.

Correct, which I think is awesome and glad the program is allowing people like that to return tags. Just the other details I've talked about that are crazy to me.

That's the premium membership that gets that. Guys in coues that are premier members will get first shot at tags.

Is it made in Belgium? Those are the real expensive ones.

This list is in no way proven or guaranteed but from what I can see last year the majority of these units could be drawn with 8 points. This year with half of the tags not being able to go to NR in the bonus pass it could screw everything up. Take it for what it is.3B 4b 5A 5BN 6A 6b 7E 11M 19a

Personal opinion wait it out. Go all out this year for a 23 tag or 9 tag or something and maybe get lucky. If not have a 3c tag next year. BUT I just remembered the 27 archery hunt is later this year so if you decide you have to hunt this year that may make the difference compared to last year.

Being a guide and getting more business from this deal is the last thing on my mind. I'd rather take the average Joe who saved up to go on the hunt than take a rich guy who doesn't appreciate the tag.

How far out are you from a 3c tag? If you're within a few years you might wanna hold out. 3c surprised me this last year. 27 has some good Bulls but a lot of guys struggled up there this year. I personally don't think 27 is all its cracked up to be.

Now the truth is starting to show here. If the case was that there were people there saying it was a bad idea and giving ideas of how to put safeguards into place to make it fair and the department ignored them and did what they were gonna do anyway that makes sense. Because that's what they always do! AZGFD sees one thing and it's money and they don't care how they get there. Glad you attended the meetings and wasted your time though. Like every meeting I've ever heard of anyone going to and giving their advice. Once azgfd dreams it up its happening however they want and how they get the most money. Thanks for trying though.

Man people at those meetings must be some of dumbest people out there or they all were the people planning on abusing the system if NOONE brought up the obvious fact that the way are doing it is gonna be abused like crazy. It took me about 5 seconds to figure that out when I read it. So if all these so called meetings that everyone knew about actually happened and Noone could see that our department and attendees are dumber than a box of rocks. But in the end it's AZGFD doing what they do best. Making that green. Nearly everyone is gonna select that box and dish out 5 bucks. Times that by 100,000+ people plus all the new licenses being bought by people for their non hunting family plus 13 dollar app fee plus $135 tag fee and we're talking millions of dollars of extra money a year. It's brilliant on their part m actually but screws the average Hunter. Excuse me now I need to call up some relatives and get me some ss numbers. I've got BB point pools to build! Heck I might take it to the next level and go Democrat style and start using dead people's ss#'s to really boost my odds. If you can't beat em join em huh?

It would be nice if they would tell us about the meeting maybe? Sending a few emails to a few select people to give their input isn't exactly the best way to get the info out there. I know I didn't get an email. Plus even without the people there how could they not see the possibility for abuse by doing it the way they are doing it? It's the perfect opportunity for those guys that can afford to buy a license and point for a few people in your family and get top tags every 3-4 years rather than 10+ years. It's insane Noone thought of this. Unless the guys implementing it are wanting to take advantage of it.

And then theres that. Pay me a couple hundred bucks and you can put in with me and I'll just get my points back. The possibilities are endless!

All they need to do is require everyone on the same app to surrender the tag if anyone on the app wants to return the tag. That would cut out any possible abuse of the system. And keep the deal where you only can give back the tag once before having to use it or lose your points.

So they are doing exactly the one thing we don't want. Letting people put in with people and allowing one of them to keep it and one to give it back. That right there is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Guys are gonna have grandma, grandpa, little cousin jonny, little susy and whoever else who doesn't hunt build up points. Get drawn with grandma, grandma gives back her tag you put in with her again until you both draw again. All the while little susy and Jonny are building points. Once you're done using grandma for the two tags you start her over and start using Jonny for two tags start him over and move to susy for two tags. Getting tags that require high points every couple years. Wtf is happening with this department? I understand all they care about is money but geeze the line has to be drawn somewhere.

That's incorrect. First off it wouldn't make sense to put in for a cow tag just to give it back. But if you did it will just be like you never got drawn and got a bonus point. No extra points or anything. If you had 6 when you put in and draw and give it back you will have 7 the next year like you never drew. Tags that are given back go to the next guy in line so there are no extra tags given to anyone.

I bought a membership this year and I don't think it's worth it. It does have some good info but you can get draw odds elsewhere for much cheaper. A lot of the unit descriptions are pretty broad and doesn't tell you much other than if there is a lot of private land there or not. Only perk is you have a chance to win some pretty nice stuff every month. Terrible odds but probably keeps some guys subscribing.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do. I've had it happen to friends and they have called azgfd and they basically said tough luck. Can't hurt to call though. Maybe since it's early in the process someone will do something for you. If not I guess you could change your credit card info to where it's wrong and when they charge your card it won't work. You'd have to give up this year and lose a bonus point but may be better than drawing a late cow tag or something!

I personally don't like the idea. Just gonna make people wait even longer for a once in a lifetime tag. But if it is gonna happen then they better have strict rules about it. The biggest thing being that if a group puts in and draws three tags and one wants to return it they all have to. If not I can't imagine how many people will use grandma's 12 points they have built up over and over and over to help them draw tags. If they limit that I'll be able to live with it but if not it's gonna get out of hand. And why are they are allowing you to return a tag up to 24 hours before the hunt? Some dude is gonna scout all year and not like what he sees and someone's gonna get a call night before their dream hunt and have to decide right there if they want it and not be prepared.

I hope there is a limit to how many times they can do it and if it's a party app everyone has to return their tag.

That is correct. It gives everyone in the random draw a better chance whether you're residents or non residents. The ones that get screwed are the non resident and resident max point holders.I don't see where resident max point holders are going to get screwed it seems to me residents just got another 5% of the tags in the 20% pass.You're correct. I originally thought it was taking a percentage of the tags from resident max holders as well. I see now it is only taking from NR max point holders.

If you have 13 points I'm assuming you're trying for a rifle tag? Or the top three early archery tags? Or you're just terribly unlucky? Haha

if you're close to 8 points (guessing you have Hunter ed point and loyalty point) I'd hold out. You can have some good Archery tags in the next couple years.
