If they are barely in the mail I'd venture to say they barely made their deadline of the 22nd. Not that I care because I didn't draw but they were pushing it this year.

It's a great hunt! The rut is generally really good even if it's bad in other units. Last year I was in 23 with my dad and had my own hunt in 4b and the rut never really was that great in either place and all I heard was how the rut was going great in 3c. You'll have a fun hunt with a lot of good bulls.

Pretty sure Noone was giving him crap about drawing with such few points. 90% of those tags go to guys with single digit points. And unfortunately for those that have drawn it or will draw it you're odds of drawing it again the next year are about as good as getting struck by lightning. Can happen but not likely. You'll kill a great bull or you'll at least see a lot of good Bulls and have a ton of fun either way.

That barrels pretty scratched up on top. I think $4500 is a little overpriced with the dings and scuffs.

Sad part is 21 points doesn't get you in the bonus pass for rifle on any hunt I don't think. Most hunts were 23 or 24 this year to get the bonus pass.

Haha there's no secrets to 4b. There's elk in nearly every area of the unit until you get up into antelope country and even then there's decent numbers of elk. I think the biggest thing was your first post was wanting info. There's a ton of guys that do it every year come and get info and are never heard from again until the next time they draw. They don't post anything that helps others or post anything for that matter. As long as you plan on sticking around and donating some good info to the site or even just being a part of it posting every now and then I don't think people will care and will help you as much as you want. There's just a lot of people that know they can come to coues whitetail and ask about any unit and any hunt and someone is gonna help them out. Which is great because it's nice having that source of info. Just don't be like a lot of them that only want the help and don't give the help.

Ok did you make sure you put the number in both of the fields? Has to be in both or it won't work.

Sounds like you have something messed up. Go back to your portal and enter the ss number and sportsmans id number in both places. It will work.

With the exception of chevelon itself, and maybe wildcat I don't think there's a spot in 4B that has more then a 150' elevation change? The places I've hunted in there were flat as a table top!Agreed. 4b is one of the flattest units you can find. Wildcat and Chevlon are the only canyons out there that are somewhat deep in some spots. But if you do have the misfortune of killing in elk in a deep part of Chevlon that's gonna suck bad. It's the unit boundary so I would stay away from it anyway.
