Glad you came back to give us your take on the whole situation. I really didn't think you'd come back and admit to overscoring. So props on that. But adding on all the other nonsense didn't really help. Not that you care as you pointed out. I've said my fair share of controversial things here on this site and have said plenty of dumb things on this site but nothing anyone's said or done has made me want to leave the site. There's a lot to learn from the guys here. Noones expecting an apology from you but simply letting people have a different opinion other than your own without getting upset would help. You kind of went ballistic on some guys that simply guessed the score of a ram. Which then caused myself and a few others to keep pouring it on because of how upset you were getting over nothing. Having said that once again glad you came back to talk about it atleast. But I don't think all the arrogant stuff that came after it really helped accomplish anything. I'm sure if myself or most of the other guys here met each other in person we would get along just fine. So don't let one little argument over a sheep score get you pissed off enough to leave the site. Sorry if you were offended by some of the things I said to you and hope you stick around.

I think most of us took your first couple posts the wrong way because it sounded like you were just a random person trying to spread rumors. Obviously your not and you were there to see and hear what happened. I also misjudged your first couple posts towards me because most guys that say they want to meet me in the woods don't want to just meet up and be friends. I realize it wasn't your intentions now but you have to see where some of us are coming from in regards to a new poster and being a little leery about who they may be especially when first thing they say is they want to meet with me in the hills. But if youre legit and not looking to cause problems I hope you stay on the site and see what good it has to offer.

Gotcha, well if that's the case then we're all good. But you very easily could be his good buddy messing with me so I'm cautious. Travis just didn't take kindly to people asking why he wanted to kill everyone that talked about sheep without his permission. And was very upset that people questioned his scoring (and they were 100% correct on their guesses while he was 14 inches off) I sent you a message earlier regarding Travis so make sure and read that. If you're buddies with him tell him to message me to talk about what went on. Think if he calmed down a bit he would see Noone was questioning his sheep hunting and guiding ability. Just wondered why he was getting so mad when people talked about curly and they didn't agree with him. Anyway good luck out there.

This escalated quickly. . But yeah I'm on the side of why would you call the auction Hunter when you have a tag and you're watching one of the coolest sheep to ever live? I don't see Jay threatening anyone and am curious how someone brought up the lawsuit thing. What the heck would they even be able to sue for? Chasing a sheep that a rich guy wants to kill? Sounds like a lot of made up stuff. Too cool of a sheep to have all the negative stuff popping up on how he was killed.

I remember hearing Jay Scott explain it, can you freshin my memory? I thought it was based on so many weeks into the year or something but don't remember. I do remember that it was why this years archery hunt started so early though.I don't know the exact week but seasons start based off how many weeks into the year they are. Just an example and not the correct week but Archery deer will always start the 25th Friday of the year. (It's not really the 25th just an example) and Archery elk starts something like 37th Friday of the year. So as years go by the first day of the year may be Friday (like 2016) so your hunts are gonna start earlier. This year the first day of the year is a Sunday. So your first Friday isn't until the 6th. So because of that all the hunts will start 6 days later. Next year first day of the year is a Monday so hunts will be a day earlier than this year and so on and so forth. That will happen over the next 6-7 years getting earlier and earlier until it switches again.

Noones claiming he's a bad sheep Hunter. I'm sure he's a great guide but the way he flipped out and acted holier than thou because he has seen that specific sheep more than someone else kinda make people not like him. He tried way to hard to make everyone think he was a bad as$. If he had come on like Jay Scott did and explain the situation and say how he is involved and whats going on things probably would have went smoother.

Happens every 6-7 years. Just how it falls on the calender. Here in 6 years the hunts will be back up to where they were last year.

They have hunts smashed into every week nowadays so when something gets changed in early September it changes everything all the way down the line.

All hunts were moved back a week due to how it fell on the calendar.
