All I ask is return it sooner rather than later so guys have some time to prepare. But then again I have no idea what game and fish does with th3 returned tags because they won't tell us.

What makes you think a lot of guys will be using it? Should be a pretty good year if the moisture keeps up.

You can pretty much guess which hunt you got judged by tag number. I'd imagine the whole thing will be updated for good soon.

No way. Don't think it will be today as results have almost always been on Tuesday. Last year Wednesday.

Thing I think is interesting is my dad always tells me about how easy it was to draw the early rifle tags and the first elk that showed itself died. You killed a spike and everyone was just as happy for you as if you'd killed a 420 bull today. Sounds like things were a lot more simple then and more fun/less stressful. Nowadays you kill a 350 bull with your bow and people want to know why you wasted your tag when in reality a 350 bull is bigger than 90% of all elk ever killed by hunters.

Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Lol Everything in this state that has to do with water is cumulative. Aquifers, resevoirs, stock tanks. We'll just agree to disagree. Elk need green grass full of nutrients for good Antler growth. Water in Stock tanks keeps them from dying from thirst. There's a chance if there's a lot of water on the ground the Bulls don't have to use energy to walk long distances for it so they may help a tiny bit but for the most part they need the grass. Which doesn't grow until about March- April in most of the state. Same way I don't think rain at the end of July or in August helps them. Because they are pretty much done growing by then.

90 day looks a little better but I personally don't think water that is falling and watering dead grass during the winter helps the antler growth.

Water that fell 6 months ago doesn't matter.

Everyone talking about it being a banner year and such. Only one problem. We haven't gotten nearly as much moisture as everyone thinks. This is the two week, 30 day and 60 day average. A few units are doing really well while the majority aren't doing very good at all.

Just curious what you thought they should do with it? I think 100 is good for 3c. Last year 8 guaranteed it. My brother was one of the lucky ones with 7 to draw in the bonus pass. Problem with 3c right now is tons of deer but the buck numbers aren't keeping up with doe numbers. Hopefully keeping it at 100 for a couple years will let more bucks grow up and help Balance the buck to doe ratio.

Could still let guys buy bonus points during that time.

Nah just kidding, I have three brothers and a sister that grew up the same way as I did. Two of us are hard core hunters and the other three go but it's not real fun for them. Think they go just because they think it was expected of them. You can only push it so far and let them decide. As long as they aren't getting into trouble elsewhere I guess it's ok to have another hobby. Even if it's not an awesome hobby like hunting.

Oh please dont play the poor pitiful kids crap. if your kids dont get drawn its 100% because of you. every hunter who gets a tag can pass that Tag to there kids (best rule ever made). I've passed every tag I have gotten to my kids since the law, before the law if I got drawn I let them shoot it. but hey that's me early bull lopes north rim deer tags etc etc if I ever get a ram tag they will get it. the problem is most parents are selfish. they only put in cow or youth hunts, or doe hunts for there kids if they even put them in.. just like the bass fishing tourny. crowd oh yeah they take there kids BLUEGILL fishing from shore BFD instead of bass fishing like their parents. kids dont want that crap they want to hunt/fish just like there dads and put stuff on the wall just like there dads. and there cheap they dont want to spend a 135 on there kid they will be happy with a general squirrel tag save the good tags for me I have more fun watching my kids hunt or friends kids hunt than me hunting. its a hoot and its always successful whether they tag out or not. Who said poor kids? Im sure my kids weekly allowance is more than your annual income.

Not much of a change but the portal changed a little. Used to be 00000 under hunt number now it's just one 0. Not much of a change but atleast shows they are messing with it.

He's entered everything was given to Brian this week so hopefully he can make it in in time.
