Haha jumpin' on the High Bobcat price bandwagon huh?
-
I was there helping a buyer and the top cat went for $1300. I averaged around $750 on all four of my bobcats with my highest going for $975 and lowest $575. It was an awesome sale with around 850 bobcats. Average price on all bobcats sold was $420

Just thought you all would like to see this. I have had some pretty intense arguments in the past about the AZGFD with some of you game and fish worshipers so figured this would fuel the fire a little haha I love it! http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/20130130arizona-game-fish-official-under-investigation.html?nclick_check=1

Ordered mine!

Problem with us is we hunt in the snow and it's hard to tell when it's going to snow or not. Which makes it hard to tell someone when we're going to go out.

Where are you located?

I have a friend who has some pretty good dogs. I go with him nearly every snow and this particular day he had to work and he let me take the dogs out and look what happened! Nice having friends with some good hounds. Headed out again tomorrow to try for some bobcats. I'm not sure if that is a real pic or photoshop. Just took it off the internet to give an idea of what I might want. I'll be sure to post some pics of it when it's done in about a year or so! -
I'd say around 165-170 also. The body looks HUGE though. . nice buck!

Yeah it's that buck in my avatar. I think it would make an awesome mount with something like this. It would only be the shoulder mount as if the lion had buried the other half under a log, leaves, and sticks and he is standing over it hissing. -

Thanks guys! As for the story. .We cut his track along a road that was parallel with a huge canyon. The track was really hot so the dogs didn't have a hard time getting on it. After about a mile chase the cat went into the canyon and rather than tree in the bottom he went up the other side! So we crawled back out and the cat ran along the edge of the canyon for about half a mile and then dropped back into the canyon. Then he ran about another half mile along the bottom and treed in those big pines behind me in the picture. His tracks in the snow weren't that big so we were thinking it was going to be a female so we weren't planning on killing it. But when we got to the tree it turned out to be a good sized tom. Bad thing was the only gun we were carrying was a 30.06. So that's what I ended up shooting him with. Thankfully it didn't blow a hole out the back side when I shot it. Once he was out of the tree we had about a 2-2 1/2 mile hike back to the truck from the bottom of the canyon. I attempted to carry him and went about a hundred yards up the side of the canyon and realized it wasn't going to happen. We checked the GPS and saw a road cutting through the canyon about 2 miles down so we walked back to the truck, got a four wheeler, blazed a trail through the bottom and picked him up! Then took him to the taxidermist. I'm thinking about maybe getting him mounted someway with my big mule deer I killed this year. Still not sure. -

haha why would I care if you passed on the bull Aaron shot? Not sure where you were going with that one or why you're bringing it up. But. . deep inside I have a feeling that is also a lie, unless you think 400" bulls are just too small? When you wrote that comment directed at me about passing up that ugly thing I understood that as you saying you passed up on my buck I shot. How the heck would I know you were talking about Aaron's 400" bull and why would I care? Either way true or not I'm not sure which hunter on here would pass up a 400" bull because he thinks its ugly. Hope you ended up with a 500" bull since you pass on those little 400 inchers. Can I see a pic of the bull you killed this year?

Any idea when they are gonna have the regs out? Should be soon right?

Alright sounds like a deal. Sorry to anyone who may have found my posts disrespectful or just plain crazy. I just find it amusing so many out there think AZGFD are gods that can do no wrong. So when the topic comes up I enjoy letting them hear about it even if they don't agree. I personally have no respect for the AZGFD as you can see and most likely never will due to many different circumstances. But good luck to you all and don't take anything I said too personal. Just stating my opinion and letting others know about "ungodly" acts that AZGFD should be ashamed of even if you don't like to hear it. Peace out!

I'm honored I suppose you were with him the first morning of the hunt when he passed on a buck that died 20 minutes into it. Hmmm. . who is lying?
-
Haha ok ya got me there. It officially scored 168 7/8. .Let's change it to this and let me know if there really is a difference in how stupid CMC is with HIS bull**** as you put it. CMC, you didn't have a chance to pass on that thing because it was kickin' in the dirt 20 minutes after the sun came up the first day of the hunt. Nice try though Let me guess you're gonna come back and say you passed up the 170" drop tine buck in the archery hunt because it was just too ugly. . right? Either way it's bull**** being 180 or 170 or 110 or 250. It was dead before CMC was out of his sleeping bag. If I wanted to boost my ego I wouldn't have posted the 165 score the day I shot it. I would have said 180 from the beginning. My previous comment was simply to show that CMC was lying about passing on a nice buck.
