Did you end up having any luck in the Metro unit?

I am having a hard time in 37B I haven’t seen one pig or any pig sign been at it every morning since opening day. If anyone could help steer me in a better direction I would really appreciate it. I am frustrated for sure.

How does one start if they are interested in doing it? What kind of gear etc? I saw some of it going on when I was at the archery range it looked really cool.

Ive seen them at Sagauro Lake and I have seen the eagles catch fish at Pleasant.

I am looking to upgrade bows and I saw the Mission Bows at my local archery shop. Does anyone have and opinions or experience with these bows? They are made by Mathews and they are not too horribly expensive.

I have some basic backpack gear PM if you would want to plan a backpack hunt sometime.

Id love to do a hunt like that let me know if your looking for someone to go with.

I have a 60 pound bow and am looking to upgrade the sights. Im new to archery and have no idea what sight or how many pins to go with.

Id be up to try one of these pig hunts if anyone wants someone to go with them let me know.

nlacost thank you that is some good solid advice, I am leaning towards the Black Gold sight its probably the one I am going to get. I am just getting into archery and wow it is addictive. I think the Black Gold sights will be good for my bow now and for when I eventually upgrade to a newer faster bow.

Does anyone know anything about the Trophy Ridge react sight? Ive narrowed down the choices between that one or the black gold 5 pin.

World of maps in Mesa or Phoenix would be a good start I get my Az hunt unit maps there. Id get them from there or of coarse Flatline Maps.

Does anyone have any advice or pointers for unit 20c? I drew a tag for the October hunt and have never hunted the unit. Not looking to steal anyone's honey holes or anything but if anyone has any pointers or advice or any feedback on that unit would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Is the PSE Stinger 3G a good bow? I tried one out the other day 1st time shooting a bow so I have nothing really to compare it to. I would probably get a bare bow and ad my own parts to it.

Does anyone know where a good place is to buy topographic maps for hunting in Az the unit I will be in is 36A

I got a left over tag for 36A does anyone have any input or advice for this unit, I am not after anyones spots or anything just wondering if its safe to camp there park your truck etc.

Hope to do some scouting in a few weeks hopefully Ill see some deer!

Thanks it started out as one of those cheap package rifles with the 3x9 scope. I got it duracoated changed the bolt handle upgraded the scope then the stock of coarse; then glass bedding and got rid of the horrible stock trigger. I got a lot of info on the savageshooters web forum to. Savages can be built into some great rifles. Hopefully Ill be able to get a deer this year with it. p.s stockade does make a thumbhole stock, if you do decide to go with them expect a really long wait time time but its worth it and the owner/stockmaker is a real good guy.

Heres a couple pics of my Savage 111 Im getting it glass bedded now. Its a stockade stock it is the "mule deer" model stock.

I drew a whitetail tag, and Im going with a friend. Defineatly will carry a sidearm to. I usually back pack in to hunt but was concerned about safety after reading all the stories of what people see but it seems like if you just use common sense you should be fine down there.
