Man, would love to have one of those rifles!

Am I going Turkey hunting? Should find out soon! Good luck to all.

Ugh! My streak of no tags from any draw cycle continues!
-
Good times even if she didn't shoot one. The hunting memories are made from everything, irregardless of success. You should see the box of "unpunched" tags I have. 😁

Went to school with his kids. He was actually DPS.

Man, that picture brings back memories while stopping and exploring the ruins. Listening to dad tell us stories about Canyon Diablo kept us kids occupied as we drove to Flagstaff. I’m sure he embellished some details...haha....but he always had great stories about that place. Good times. Sure miss dad! 😢

OP says his main use will be spot and stalk. Hauling around 15x60’s will get old fast. -
Surprised no one got this, especially if you lived in NE Arizona. Anyways......it’s Canyon Diablo, AZ! Halfway between Winslow and Flagstaff. https://www.legendsofamerica.com/az-canyondiablo/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canyon_Diablo,_Arizona

Arizona native and love these topics! 😎 Growing up not far from this location, my dad used to tell us this story every time we drove by. A well known local, Short Jimmy McGuire walked into a saloon in Flagstaff and bought everyone drinks. He paid will gold coins, claiming he found the hidden cache of gold stolen by five outlaws along this famous stagecoach town. Often referred to as “tougher and meaner” than Tombstone. He died before anyone could find his location.

I’ve always enjoyed helping out on these hunts! Unfortunately, all the kids through family and friends are over 18 now. 🙁

Awesome! Girls get it done! Congrats to all!

Been thinking about security myself. Read a thread on another forum where the guy came back to his machine deep in the back country and it was gone. Wouldn't take take much to drop it in neutral and winch it up a trailer. Ive searched online but haven't found anything worthwhile. Was looking at this. https://www.sidebysidesports.com/sibysiutvwhl.html I store all my gear in a bed box. Compressor, jumper box, belt, tools, tool straps....etc.

Man. I’m glad I hunt dove out in the desert! Not a house or barn for miles!

I got rid of all my Bermuda grass with chemical warfare! Lol After treatment and scalping the grass, I simply spread the rock over it. Grass would grow back in spots, but I’d hit again with the grass killer. Eventually, the grass no longer popped up. It requires more diligence, but it sure beats removing all the grass. 2 years now and the grass no longer comes up. Just the occasional weed that I hit. Chemical warfare is the way to go! Haha

Awesome! Congrats to your boy.
