I picked up a 13A mytopo map at Wide World of Maps in Mesa. This was several years ago, so I don't remember if they had one for 13B. It's a decent map. Not as good as Flatline(my personal favorite). Still not sure why a fee based membership is needed. Utah has a tag surrender policy. It's not complicated, nor does it require a membership into a paid club. Straight from Utah's DNR: (1) Any person who has obtained a wildlife document and decides not to use it may surrender the wildlife document to any division office.

No tag for me, but I'm not surprised. 13B is my only choice. At least I'm one year closer now to pulling that tag! Congrats to all that drew!

I may be wrong, but I read the proposal that you only get one time per species to surrender your tag AND keep your bonus points. If you repeat it again the following year, you would lose all accumulated bonus points. So maybe that's how they'll prevent this. Again, I could be wrong, but that's how I read it,

I don't agee with the paid membership aspect. The hunting community is already fragmented and divided. Alot of in-fighting and personal posturing already exists. archery vs rifle compound vs traditional rifle vs. muzzleloader compound vs crossbow utv vs walking e-scouting vs boots on the ground paper apps vs online apps Now we want to add members vs non-members? I understand the concept with tag surrender. I don't agree with it, but it's out there. If the department wants to proceed with tag surrender, then do it without a membership fee based club. Just more division within the hunting community that we really could do without.

Looks familiar! At least your results are readable. Viewing the portal on my iPad or smartphone, the results are listed vertically, making it very hard to read. It's certainly not optimized for mobile platforms. It's the one thing that's bugged me since signing up. Sure wish they'd fix it!

Based on the serial number, looks like 2008.

I already own a Viper HD 65mm spotter that is easy to haul around in my pack. Upgrading to a 80mm or larger will pretty much relegate it as a truck only spotter. Decisions! Wishful thinking. I know I won't win. Never do.

Love roasted pinon nuts! Growing up in Northern AZ, we had some great spots. During some dry years there wasn't much crop, but most years we had success. Need to make a trip this fall. Great childhood memories. Here's a neat video.
