Hey I'm not embarrassed to admit that I've changed some tactics while out hunting. Back in the day, my buddy and I would bust up and down drainages, back and forth like mountain goats. I now freely admit I'll deviate a half mile or more along the edge of that same drainage and find an easier place to cross. Not only am saving wear and tear on my old knees, but I get to see more country and maybe jump an elk or deer along the way. I want to be out in the woods as long as I can. Toning it down a notch now will buy me more time in the future.

Starman. Came out in 1984. Great little sci-fi flick.

Guess I've been lucky. I own 3 different Badlands and have had almost no issues with the zippers. The only issue I've had is one of the zipper tabs broke off. No biggie as I just used some para cord as a tab. Been pleased with my packs.

The 2200 isn't discontinued. They're for sale all over. Think you got the old "kick the can down the road" service.

I guess I could, but more important things on my plate.

You know, I've lived here all my life and I've heard this statement forever from countless people. Yet, no one has ever quoted or citied the relevant A.R.S to support this statement. I've searched all of the Title 17, Title 6, Title 35 and Title 44 statutes with no luck. Nothing that indicates they can't charge us up front. Maybe it's one of those things when people say it enough, it becomes the de facto ruling. For my own sanity, can you cite the relevant A.R.S?

Holy cow! That sucks! Man what happened?

The only thing weird about my portal account is that it doesn't show my lifetime license. Just the last regular license I had, which obvious has expired. No biggie as my app went through ok last week. Odd that it doesn't show me having a lifetime license tho. That better not screw me up!! Haha

One word: Shredder! Everything in my recycle bin looks like confetti.

Most of the elk on the 4A North hunt will be on the O'haco ranch and further north on the Hopi 3 ranch. This is open PJ country, transitioning into open grasslands. There are some small cuts and draws, but the majority is flat open antelope country. Also, the west side of O'haco's ranch closes on December 1st. So with the hunt starting on the 15th, you'll have to hunt the east side of the ranch if you choose to go that route. Glassing will be your friend. Both ranches have sign in access.

Reminds me....Back in the day, used to watch a bunch of drunk girls at Graham Central Station jump on the mechanical bull and get thrown off hard!! Good times!

For some, there are easier ways.....

It's terrible. Can't concentrate at work. At home all I do is watch elk hunting vids on YouTube! Reviewing draw odds.....Keep going over my gear......you name it! haha Will 2017 break my 7 year drought? With my excitement, hope I'm not setting myself up for a huge disappointment! It's a sickness!

Haven't decided. I've got a couple units that should put me close. No guarantees, but I'm hopeful. Will fill out my app this week, so gotta make a decision!

Awesome! Congrats to you and your wife!

4B has a lot of those 40 acre ranchettes north of the forest boundary all the way and north of Hutch Rd. I believe they are posted private property and/or no hunting. They're on the western part of the unit, hugging Chevelon Canyon. Further north all the way to The Territorial/McLaws Road is wide open with good antelope country. Easy access.

These District 9 yahoos from Tucson sure like to stir the pot. Must be something in the water.
