Yup. Another 5-6 inches up on the Peaks today! The Peaks have received about 12" of rain in 5 days. Incredible!

Badlands 2200 is what I use. Works great for an Arizona elk tag. Tons of usable space. You're never anywhere deep here to warrant bringing everything and the kitchen sink.

Those last shots of Coal Mine Canyon are fantastic! While attending NAU, we used to get up that way a bunch! 30+ years and it still looks beautiful. Time stands still. Thanks for sharing.

If you have a tag in 11M, bring your canoe. Talked with my sister in Flagstaff and she's says the rain has been insane. Read a report from the NWS that said the Peaks have received over 6" of rain since Saturday. Nice!! Good start. Let's hope it continues into August.

That's about the best time up north. No hunts, no school and no fire restrictions.

Took a 5 mile hike through the desert and was entertained by the cicadas! Arizona folklore means the monsoon is near! Well, not really a scientific certainty, but the cicadas singing indicates the onset of our rainy season is near. Hopefully in a few weeks we hear the first thunder.

I've had this hunt 3 times. This unit gets hit pretty hard with the monsoons. The rains will/should fill up most tanks and get things somewhat back to "normal". Give it a few weeks and check your spots again.

Credit card charges for deer are never exciting for me with the way I apply. Cant remeber the last time I didnt have a deer tag. Apply for 13B only and your excitement, along with major disappointment will come back.

Only if if was "dismissed WITHOUT prejudice". Then they could refile. I'm not a lawyer, but that's my understanding on the difference between dismissing "with prejudice" or "without prejudice" Guess we'll see how it plays out.

According to wiki..a case dismissed with prejudice is over and done with, once and for all, and can't be brought back to court.

Too easy! Nice morning in the desert. With the drizzle and the sweet smell of the creosote bush in the air....no complaints!

Great morning for a ride! Very rare opportunity to enjoy a drive in the desert in mid-June!! So got up early and headed out. Was a cool 68 degrees when I pulled up. Anyone guess where I was? I know, too easy!

So having a lion tag in your pocket whenever you go out not specifically for lion, isn't good enough now. If hunting deer, elk, javelina...etc, you better make sure, prior to pulling the trigger that the harvest objective hasn't been met in the zone your hunting. Seems they added an extra step to the random opportunity. Interesting. Unless I'm reading it wrong.

Those people in Blue Ridge can't catch a break. Not far from the Tinder fire. Here we go again.
