Aw yes , truly that Wind will choose who's time it is just gotta respect her I guess . Thank you all ! I had a few Bulls closer but didn't wanna spook em trying to turn my Gopro on -
Awesome , yeah I catch myself not flipping mine sideways all the time lol I just know a lot of people don't know that trick but Anyhoo great footage eh

Well I started my first archery Elk hunt not knowing what I was getting into . After months of educating and learning from friends and all you folks on coueswhitetail who were glad to spread some pointers, I still didn't punch out my tag with Electrical school and work I was only able to get at it on 3-4 day weekends this past weekend I had found a mnt were lots of Bulls were bedding so everyday I was hiking up into their bed chasing and chasing Bulls . I than put 2 and 2 together now knowing that one of their steps are like 3 of our steps so my buddy kept telling me "you gotta run and stick with em" . After 3 days running all over this steep mnt Sunday came around. Knowing that this may be the last day I'm able to hunt I had a shot threw some branches at a 5x6 but I passed thinking of a better first Bull . After chasing a few more Bulls I started to think I messed up and should of fired an arrow talk about being so down, sad, tired depressed. Now I'm unsure if I have time to get back out so much time , effort an money involved it drives a man insane lol . Lessons learned I guess .

Azpredator- I mounted a Gopro to a tripod and stuffed it in my pack . I have 4 extensions on the Gopro swivel arms to a Gopro tripod mount that mounts to any tripod or mono pod which is lighter . -
Thanks for all your help and pointers for those of you who shared their time with me ! It is all about the experience and learning from others if I don't make it back out before Thur here's some footage I got calling and chasing Bulls up a mountain .

Well I was able to hit it hard for the first 4 days 2 being solo but the bugling slowed down and now I'm struggling Im limited to days in the field due to work/Electrical class . Iv been from kelly canyon to pine groves mnt which is packed of people. I'm down to crunch time next weekend if anyone can shoot me in the right direction that would be very greatful ๐

With all the coyotes and wolves in the woods I figured a dogs foot print wouldn't cause much harm . The dogs are def staying home now until season ends tho -

Thanks to you all for all your support as Im slowly learning how to hunt these Elk ! -
