I have been hunting 36C in January. I normally hunt with a group. This year I will be going with just one other person. We both agree that this is not a safe enough unit to be in, unless you are with a few other hunters. What I need help with, is there another area that holds bucks that won't cost us our lives. Last year was bad and Border Patrol paid us a visit at our camp, as there was all kinds of shooting going on and a person found dead. I have served in the Army and as a Ranger, but I do not feel that a Deer is worth leaving behind my 3 year old daughter. The interesting part was that the Border Patrol that swarmed our camp, was surprised to learn that we did not have firearms as a means of protection. We explained the Law and they said, " Down here? ". I would not care about the law, when it was my life at stake. Very interesting
Not looking for a secret spot, just another productive but safe area.
