Yep and when the quota is met in January it is now closed for the rest of the year -
Take 4 Trout during Closed Season. Possess 4 Unlawfully taken Trout. This was a revocable offense.

Guess your limb just broke with you on it. -
Maybe that was the standard punishment for that infraction? It seems the AZGFD commission makes it a point that guides will and should be held to a higher standard. Maybe Steve's lawyer did some investigating and found out that every other guide found guilty of the same infraction got a 5 year ban so he figured what the heck lets attack the WM that supposedly had it out for Steve and see how that goes for us.

Seems like that’s life in general, how many people are shot every day and yet all the headlines were focused on Alex Baldwin. If you’re going to be Instagram famous you better believe when you screw up it’s going to be news. As for who gives(AF) I guess the answer to that is the AZGFD and the commission must have.

Only what was in the video posted and the guy that posted the video said no charges were filed against either party
-
Fact is he pled guilty and paid a fine. He said he has since hired a secretary to make sure this doesn’t ever happen again. His business must really being doing so well that you accidentally forget to report taking $70,000 plus worth of clients on an elk hunt in 5B that you weren’t properly permitted to be on the Coconino Forest.
-
He made real good time from Yuma.
-
Him and his lawyer sure pled that case, however the Forest Service law officer made a point that he didn't forget a single client he guided on the Coronado Forest only the ones he guided without a permit on the Coconino.

Every wildlife agency in the country must put garbage in garbage out. -
Tell that to Steve Ward.
-
Steve Ward lost his hunting and guiding privileges for 5 years because he failed to properly report all of the clients he or his guides took out a specific year.
-
He and his guides guided some archery elk hunters on the Coconino Forest and he "forgot" to claim those on his end of the year report.
-
The AZGFD commission revoked his privileges.

The Arizona Game and Fish Commission, during a public meeting Aug. 6 in Williams, voted 5-0 to approve Commission Order 30: Limited-Entry Permit-tags, which establishes initial seasons and season dates, permit numbers, and open areas for elk, mule deer and white-tailed deer. It was closer to 4 months ago they voted on Commission order 30 so its been in the works for a little while.

WY has more antelope than residents I think they can afford lower app fees.
-
Earlier this month they took sheep out of the silverbells and Canyon lake

Very little compared to rest of the AZGFD budget, most of those branches get contracts and other agencies and businesses to pay for their programs. APS, Bureau of Reclamation ect.
-
The change is going to have to be more than just NR, I know you don’t like to hear it but NR. Make up a fraction of the OTC tags sold in this state.
-
That’s awesome that the state won’t be paying him directly but I would bet he’ll still be out here in January promoting public land hunting, he was doing it well before he was getting paid by AZGFD. He has other sponsors. The only thing that is going to stop the onslaught of NR hunting this state is the removal of OTC tags which for mule deer is well over due with or without Newburg hunting here.
-
Its actually $300 for NR and does nothing to hurt residents odds of getting a tag since NR are capped at 10% of the tags for each hunt #.
-
Wait until you guys here how much money the AZGFD made in just the first 10 days of the new hunter ethics bonus point.
