I'm not a tire expert but I do pull a trailer quite a bit. I like to keep my back tires at at least 50 but I don't have 18s, so not too sure how much of a difference that would make. I would not run them at 40 though, that's seems to be a little too soft.

I was kinda thinking snake bite too, it's crazy how well they can do with a handicap. I didn't even realize it until I saw him up close.

Shot this coyote the other day with my 17hmr, I was very pleased how well it performed at 100 yards. His back leg looks like it had some kind of birth defect,it still had a pad but no toes. Thought it was a little strange. He looks a little rough in the pic because he fell in some water, but he was in over all pretty good condition.

They still do the prisoner horse program. There's one in Florence, and a few others spread out between Nevada, Utah and Colorado I believe.
