How was your hunt? It was great, rut was starting. Four hunters, 100"-113"-118"-122". Couldn't be much better. Dang I need to make one of these hunts happen.

Was able to take this buck Friday morning. It was foggy and raining all morning but was able to find this guy with a couple does. One shot with the trusty .243 at 250 yards and it was done. The bullet entered just behind the left shoulder and stopped just under the right jaw bone. I hunted almost every day for the past 2 weeks, so I'm looking forward to this Christmas weekend. Merry Christmas and good luck to all the guys still out there.

As we were getting ready for the pack out he made it clear he didn't want any body having a heavier pack than him and was trying to convince us to let him take it all! Straight beast mode! I need to bring my girls over to see santa, they have a big wish list. I have a hunt going on both of those dates but will try to make it for either day.

I've been using the eberlerstock J34/Just One Pack for the past couple hunting seasons and really like it. You can ad the Super Duffel that zips in and will carry a full coues deer quartered up, plus all your other gear you have with you.
