    Storm last night

Not sure why AZ has above ground lines, figure with all the expense of replacement and inconvenience to customers, the power companies would burry them. My only guess is job security and to keep people employed.
  2. do we do strip clubs, sandwiches, tanning boots, gun shops next?

    Discount Tire member?

I found a low price online and took to discount, they honored the low price and went thru them. Other option if you dont like discount, is buy low online and take to a tire shop for mounting. I have had UPS ship tires to my front door. neighbors asked questions but who cares.
  4. Velvet Elvis in Patagonia is a good stop when hunting in that area.
  5. Pizza on a brick is key, conveyor never will be as good. fast yes, but I like Biancos, Florencia Pizza Bistro in Ahwahtukee, Grimaldis, Vero/Buddys (butter crust thick). Like mine cooked a tad crispy too. Old school cheese or pepperoni, but a nice sausage, onion and garlic hits the spot.

    Non-designer Merino Wool base layer

I went thru my stuff because I could not remember what I had. I have First Lite, Kuiu and Minus 33 for tops/bottoms. What I like about the FL/Kuiu/M33 is that the collars seems to stay tight and retain shape. I have had other brands where collars that got stretched out and nasty looking (looks in woods are key). Im a big kid 6' 250 and like the tighter base layers. I picked up the FL/Kuiu on sale so that helped a lot. Gentle wash and hang dry or very light temp on drier.

    2022 SD Tuna/Yellowtail trips

gonna get addicted!!!!!! 6 pack on a 48-52 ft fisher is awesome. Stick with overnight to 1.5 or 2.5 day trips. The day trip for 12 hours IMO isnt worth it. Kick in a few extra bucks and go at least overnight. I have done quite a few 6 pack trips and have stuck with Coblat (Fishermans Landing) or Sauerfish (Point Loma Landing). They have all the gear and food ready for you, just show up. I'm partial to Sauerfish as they have beer included. I just did an overnight on Cobalt and going in mid Sept. First of Oct, going on Sauerfish again. Let me know if you have questions. Andrew

    Parking on State Land

Leave an orange hat or laminate a sign says hunting next to hat. As longs I have been inside the State Trust Land area, never had issue. Probably not going to mess with trucks, but a prius next to the sign deserves a ticket regardless.

    2022 SD Tuna/Yellowtail trips

I know, I paid it LOL. I have done the processing at home on fish, just need time and space. A good vacuum sealer or vacuum chamber is best. Seems to be the flash freezing does preserve them longer and keeps good taste. I have an upright freezer I can put fish on racks, to get air moving around to freeze, but never is fast enough. I have brought tuna back in fish bags and eating sashimi for days off it. Then parted it out and froze. I bought an Opah Fathom 5 deep a year or so ago, always bring on trips incase I decide to bring home fish to process ie tuna sashimi or so.

Depends on the thickness of bags you get $1.50 for 3mm, $1.60 for 5mil. $4.00 for collars etc.... Shipping was $60.00. I go fishing to fish and have fun. If I counted all the expenses, just like hunting, I would go to Costco. Gas prices suck now and wasn't 100% sure if I would make my Sept trip. Otherwise the processor starts charging storage fees. Usually I play the pickup game on various trips or vacation to So Cal and I make a longer detour to pickup fish. I do like the 5 mil bags for longer storage, I sometimes don't eat it all up in few months. Holds really well in chest freezer.

  21. The original ones made with Benchmade seem to hold more cult following based on the the shape and grind of the blade. I wasn't much of a Griptilian fan but the design of the Ritter models I did like. Similar to how the Becker knife is collector for when he was making with Camillus Knife, just not the same as now with Kbar.

Using blanks to train a pup

the bang/fetch has to be rewarding for the dog, that is the association/bond that develops. if the dog knows that a bang and fetch/pickup is good, then they dont care about the noise. My lab would freak if I dropped a fork or knife on the tile, and split, but I could shoot the gauge over his head with no issues. Get to the point where they wont move if nothing falls to the ground for them to pickup. I would be on the boat blasting but the dog would sit on the bow until told to go. I did the noises during feeding, also would play hunting videos with lots of shots while I played fetch in the house. Then progressed to the outside.
