Please let them put those 1480 smallies in Lake Mary! Could you Imagine the toads that could grow in there?!

I wouldnt mind a relocation to Lake Mary ..... But that would be a shame they should be adding more smallmouth to all our northern lakes. They take great Love rocks and ABSOLUTELY LOVE Crawdads!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya I think there is still a Mercury Warning. Which is why I chose Mercury Blues as a song lol. But there is a warning on tuna at the store too so........As for baits Micro Jigs for Crappie on bobbers, For all species Crappies too, little 2inch swimbaits (Berkely Ripple Shad) in perch color or black and white on a jig head. Just cast and reel or jig up and down as you real seems to get more strikes. I hooked 15 fish yesterday got 7 in the boat 2 Crappie 2 Walleye biggest was 3 and a half, and 3 pike.

Finding and Hunting Giant Coues Bucks with Devin beck

Really Cool Podcast Definately had some questions answered! Wish You could do another one for archery stand hunting! -
#1 lure at that lake is a single curly tail Gary yamamoto grub. Chartreuse with black flake on a jig head. Just throw it towards shore let it sink to bottom and steady retrieve in. That bait tears up the smallmouths. For stripers i like deep diving crankbaits and rattletraps. Fish rockslides they produce good smallmouths. and any main lake points in the lake will have stripers and smallmouth. If you find tumble weeds stacked up in the backs of any canyons fish em!!! Thats where big largemouth are. Also Usually can find striper boils towards night in the channel and The spillway in the channel from the Navajo powerplant holds alot of stripers! just throw anchovies there or throw a spinnerbait let it fall really deep by the wall and reel in usually they hit it on the fall. ull see the spillway coming out of a hole high in the canyon wall on the right side in beween antelope marina and the northern mouth of the channel. Goodluck!!!!

I was really lucky with a spot being in my family for years that tends to hold atleast one big buck year round and his niche gets filled fast if he's taken by one of us or a lion. But in luck with trying to find my own spots the places where I find bigger deer are always where you wouldn't expect them i.e. higher and lower elevations than you would expect. I love hunting by the mule deer hunters who have no idea your hunting coues. But finding them is one thing getting it done is another.

After a rough archery deer and elk season I was blessed with this beauty when I only had three days to hunt... not the biggest but will fill my tummy until next year! Couldn't have done it without my dad and uncle by my side and the trusty Savage. Thanks guys!

Huntlines. That is exactly the sort of advice I was looking for. Thank you for being so helpful. Love to be apart of a site with so many other friendly hunters out there! I have a lot of school and hockey tryouts which is conflicting with my hunt but then I should be able to get out around the 5th which has my hopes up Thanks Again!

Here are the times that they are commin in. Just looking at the pictures gets my blood goin! But also frustrates me at the same time...

I have a good idea of where that is and definatly am thinking about it. But I may wait until after season to find it for next year because I don't want to push them out of the area if I get caught by them.Thx for the advice! Standman....classic haha

2 BUCKS DOWN BY 10AM
Coues Stew replied to droppedmybowoutoftree's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Nice job guys! Hopefully I can follow your tracks! -
I would have to say I am not a fan. Just because when I hear one when im out in the field I automatically know its a hunter (from hearing so many soon followed up by people), sort of like box calls for turkeys. It is almost as if hoochie mamas and box calls are the stereotypes of what elk and turkeys sound like and that noise it what comes to mind when u think of them. In my opinion mouth calls are the way to go because elk and Turkeys are always changing tones and rythms. Not just the generic "Mew" or "yelp,yelp,yelp,yelp..." just my thoughts, but only God knows.
