Im dying to go out and fish on the big blue!

I agree very tough! And I do not agree with the 13 year old head on shot. I learned that the hard way and it took me two times to figure out that their shoulder blade is like a steel plate and even if you hit the jugular or a vein its not a vital organ... They will plug the wound with fat and keep on rollin with almost no blood to track, that happened after we left him in his bed over night. I Eventually wised up and got a good shot on a smaller bull and after leaving him for a couple hours (Fear of high shot) I tracked blood to a gut pile and bull legs next to a rd..... I was disgusted... however atleast he did not go to waste.

I hope theyre not chiggers... Talk about annoying

Was that a 6a Rocky?

Tonto Creek? Going to Roosevelt you never see a single saguaro till you are about to Jakes Corner, Which makes me think could be out in Tonto Basin somewhere.

Iv Been catching most fish (Walleye) From the narrows to the south end like elkaddict says. I like to fish the rd side cause it gets more wind blown and stirs up craws and baitfish for em.

Coues Pursuit Your right I got mixed up only the Blues and Cinnamons are surveyed together. The GWT lacks the blue on the Covert feathers. -

Blue-winged teal! Cinnamon Teal! Beautiful bird and photo, Wampus! There it is. Thank you. Could be a Green-Winged lol, US Fish And Wildlife categorize them all together when they do wing surveys cause its almost impossible to tell which is which just from the wing alone. -
Let me guess....... On the Corner Bend Just before the dam.... hahahaha

Most fish you will catch will be within 10 ft of the bank so if your shore fishing dont forget to parallel right up against the shore. The walleye should still be on fire. and +1 on 2 to 3 inch swimbaits, usually black and white (Crappie color) or Fire Tiger (Perch Color) they will catch the larger crappies too. Also If you can find a good patch of Mullen that's submerged on the shoreline Pick it apart real good, there's always fish in those stick ups. I tend to go passed the narrows and fish the rd side for best luck it gets hit by the wind the hardest, the windier it is the better theyre biting just sucks trying to cast smaller lures. For pike cant go wrong with a Rapala Jerkbait, or Lazereye, Red is always good to have colorwise for the pike.Goodluck!

Ya when we werent throwing frogs we were catchin nice smallies in 40 ft! The flagstaff weather is getting real nice. Especially with the cool down we'll get this weekend could turn the walleye on hard!
