Do not forget to look hard into those ocotillo groves on any hillside! They seem to hold a lot of deer. Lee

How many are hunting the Nov. 36A whitetail hunt
peckl1 replied to AzTrapper's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I'll be camping out by the Penitas Hills area from Nov 7th to Nov 21st. I have the mule deer hunt. If you see a silver chevy Z71 and a green cabelas tent that's me. Stop in and say hello. My brother will be out during the hunt but not before. The spot is pretty big so if you want to camp there come on. Lee -

Sports bar in Flagstaff or Williams

I'm trying to tell you things change. It's really weird when you see a place that used to be a place to meet a lot of women turn on you. Lee -

This thread is getting a little weird. When you open up that site about gay hotels, it lists the inn at 410. I was a member of the Sigma Nu frat. That was our Frat house back then. Somebody stop this!!!!! Lee -
this is just uncalled for
peckl1 replied to .270's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
The only thing I have to say about that............ It is a whole lot more news worthy than what I'm watching on CNN right now. Lee -

Y'all talking about Granny's brought back some good memories. I worked there back in the 70's. It was the place to go dancing. You know back when Disco was king. I guess the bar has changed. The prime rib was always good. Lee -
Snapshot, I'll take it off your hands if no one has bought it by Saturday. I live in Green Valley and I'll be home on Saturday. Send me a pm with your phone number and I'll call you Saturday. Lee

I would guess this will cause the death of a lot more jackrabbits. Lee

I don't need any of the tape. I collected about75 feet of it. They had marked a road about every 1/4 mile with this tape. People just upset me with their disreguard for what I consider my backyard. Lee
-
I have a couple of questions... First can anyone buy this type of tape or just the sheriff's office? Second why can't the people who take the time to hank this crap take it back down?

Well, I left the house this morning at 4AM. Got to my favorite spot just at daylight. After about 15 minutes I missed my first shot. Then here comes a white pickup. My truck was parked out in the open. They pulled up and parked about 15 feet from where I was standing. As they started to get out, I stepped out from behind the tree I was using for shade and said "Good Morning". Scared the heck out of them. They said the didn't see me. They got back in their truck and drove over to about 30 feet from my truck. Then they got out of their truck. I asked them where they were going to hunt. " Right here" was the reply. I got in my truck and left. There are too many places to go where I hunt to stay and wonder how long it is going to be before these jerkoffs spray me. I went to another spot and shot my limit in about an hour and a half. Even got 2 white wings. I saw a bunch more just couldn't get a shot on them. I hope everyone else had a good day. Lee

Thanks for the offer Tony. I hope someone takes you up on it. I have plans down here in Tucson. BTW I love the book about Coues hunting. Lee

This time of year I wear Cabela's snake boots. Then when it cools off Cabela's whitetail extremes. Very comfortable and I've had them for 3 years. Lee

Scottyboy, the only trolling I do is for crappie. I just posted a few pictures and said I killed a rattlesnake. Then you told me how you feel about killing all the snakes you see. Then I explained why I kill rattlesnakes. Not all snakes. I have a great gophersnake that hangs around my house. At least I think it's a gophersnake. Not a big expert on them. I know what you mean about Texas. I was born in Marfa. Then we lived in Ft. Stockton until I was 10. I respect your opinion. I just ask you respect mine. Nothing wrong with having different opinions. I ran across this guy while scouting today in 36a. Anybody know what kind it is? Lee

Coueschaser3 One question... What does coyote taste like??? Lee

Scottyboy, I know you are from Texas and have been around snakes most of your life. Have you ever seen the results of a rattlesnake bite on a little girl who was not messing with the snake? My little sister's best friend was bitten on our front porch. He was coiled up around my boots so she didn't see it. She came up to ring the door bell and bang. I'll never forget the scream. Or the results of that bite. She almost lost her leg. From that day on I have killed every rattler I see. Lee

Not north of the ditch, south of Tucson. These are from last year.

I have spent a lot of time in 36a, however not on B.A.W.R. This past year I helped the WM Gabe Paz and some others on a water catchment project on the refuge. I'd be happy to tell or show you where it is. Gabe is also a very good source of info. Over the next few months I'll be out there. I have a Nov 14-20th hunt with my brother. Pm me and maybe we can meet out there sometime. Lee

I sure am glad all you guys put in for Coues. That always let's me get my 36a mule deer (CARP) tag. So I get to spend all my time scouting trying to find out where the illegals are driving the muleys to. If any of you are in 36a look me up. Silver 95 Z71 and a green cabela's lodgr pole tent. Lee

trail camera in 36a
peckl1 replied to peckl1's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Yes, I am glad to still have the camera. You should have seen all the plastic water bottles laying around. The tracks looked like they scattered like quail when the camera flash went off. Lee
