Are the draw results up yet???
Coues79 replied to DCMHunter's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Gal said that they had around 2000 applications come in yesterday; they got through about 1/4 with two ladies doing the opening (wonder how many paper cuts they'd get! Ouch) If you check the website, all the hopi hunts are gone. Give them some time to finish up the rest of the LO tags and I'm sure we'll know. Good luck if you applied. -
Are the draw results up yet???
Coues79 replied to DCMHunter's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Gal I just talked with said that it would take until the end of the week to process all the apps that came to the office today and to find out. Surely, this can't be the case? Don't know. Pretty slim shot at getting one of the tags if she's bein honest! -
If you decide you don't want the touchscreen, the Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx is a dang nice GPS. All of those features you mentioned, minus the touchscreen. It has more programs than I'll ever use, but being able to have topo maps, contour lines, old petered out roads and such is awesome. I couldn't believe some of the roads the thing has on it, not to mention tanks and springs. It picks up satellites with the WAAS capability indoors. I don't know how, but the thing picks up signals inside enclosed brick buildings. Pretty cool, glad I picked it up. If you get a chance, make sure and read up on the reviews for the touchscreens. I was wanting one of those as well, but many folks had mentioned issues in being able to view the screen in certain types of situations i.e. sunlight or shade. But, they sure do look cool.

Wow. Can't wait to get old.

Another round of impatiently waiting...... They haven't hit the bank account yet for me. I'm actually ready for the 800 bucks to come out, just to know I did everything right. I wonder what impact if any, paying the full fee upfront will have on non-resident applications? I'm guessing as not too much, since cc's are allowed for the draw. I don't see a huge impact but am hopeful! Good Luck!

Pretty cool.

The wife and I were sitting at the dinner table and noticed the chandelier moving. When I told her I thought it was an earthquake, she laughed and said "yeah right". Later, it was shown to really have been one. Pretty interesting stuff.

2010 Deer and Sheep Hunt Guidelines
Coues79 replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Looks like they are finally getting the picture about 31. Not the same as it used to be, the cuts are a good thing IMO. -
How long has it been since you been drawn for bull elk
Coues79 replied to joeybari's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Only been a year for me, but still, it hurts pretty bad to hear "you were not drawn for elk". Hope next year I can grab another one. -
That's great to hear. Always good to see numbers come up. Now we need consistent moisture at both times of the year to get the numbers way up!

Really cool drawings. One of my biggest fears while out hunting is to run into a swarm of bees and get attacked. What can you do? Not too much. Usually cuss the wind but it looks to have helped you out this time!

A big Congrats on the grandbaby. Is it a boy or girl? Did she name it Two Seven Tee?

Out of 8 people that applied, not a one drew. Ouch. The only thing I can do to remedy the situation has been done and done speedily. Come on New Mexico! Please be good to me.

up online.....

I just got through and talked with a customer service rep. cause the line wouldn't take me to the draw results. She said to call back in 15 minutes, I guess they just had a computer glich. Sucked because I sat and waited on hold for 10 minutes just to hear that. Did get through twice before that only to hear the famous " You were NOT drawn for elk" for pops and I. Hope the wife pulls one.

Love a fat juicy ribeye. Marbled throughout, enjoyin the taste of the beef, not marinade. Add a little coarse ground sea salt and fresh course ground pepper. Love it.

Goodness! 115 users viewing and we have moved to the number 7 hunting website. If they come up today, with just the people viewing this thread, the phone lines could be tied up for hours! Hope they post them online AND phone at the same time. If I remember correctly, the deer results posted first online last July. I think they're trying to have it go smooth as possible so that it will not be a fiasco like last years elk results. People had busy signals for DAYS!

Freakin awesome trophy! That is one of the coolest mounts I have seen. Great work.

Its called not an elk tag. 3000 numbers. Jokers.

I think they came out last year before the EXPO. They had a great turn out too. I would also think that having the results out before the expo would help to recruit people to the show. Those that are first time hunters or the youth would have more of a reason to get involved and go to see what the expo has to offer. However, I can see the point on people being upset and not attending.

Very cool to hear and congratulations.

I just called again and they are still not up. DANG IT You mean you didnt talk to that nice little old lady this time? Thought they were just about done loading them up.......Yesterday?

If you have the money, get the Swaro's. There may be a day that you regret not buying them when you had a chance and when they were less money. Swarovksi and Leica are the most expensive for a reason. They are the best glass.... Period. In spotting scope terms, I think Kowa are the best, but glasses, definitely swaro and leica.

I didn't like him calling out the Supreme Court. Very disrespectful and IMO, trying to influence their decision making according to how they read the law just to help his own butt out. Not real classy.
