AZSFW Latest Tactic and ADA and AAF Positions
Coues79 replied to 40-year-AZ-hunter's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
+ 1000% along with a few other name's. It's pretty sad when you don't agree with some you get bashed and slandered, that's not right. Amanda has worked hard on this great site just for a hand full of people to take it down. I used to just let my kids get on here and read away now I can't due to a few people that can not control themselves like adults, pretty sad days we live in. You believe what I do or I'll boycot you or slander your name really? come on guys grow up so I don't have to monitor what my kids read here. Is it me, or are these two posts personal attacks on Lark but with their editorial or spin? If this site has moderators, let them moderate. p.s. just because I commented doesn't mean I agree or disagree with Lark.... +1 -
These are awesome packs to pack out meat and heavy heavy loads. Wish I had the cash laying around cause I'd be on it.

Just make sure its all current. There's still plenty of wait time. They won't send an email and draw the same day or Probly even the same week. Just cover your bases and wait.

Questions regarding used Utility Quads (ATV)
Coues79 replied to Airbusdriver's topic in The Campfire
What size of engine? What is a battery tender? Also..is a quad with 1,500 miles on it considered "high mileage"? Thanks for the feed back, btw. A battery tender is a trickle charger. It will keep your battery charged to full capacity if it sits for a while without running it. 1500 miles ain't bad. But it also depends on the prior owner and how those 1500 miles were driven. -
Questions regarding used Utility Quads (ATV)
Coues79 replied to Airbusdriver's topic in The Campfire
I owned a Honda rancher 420 ES 2006 4x4 fuel injected and sold it about 6 months ago...... loved the quad. Very reliable and no concerns whatsoever in power and ability to handle any load or gear I had on it. You might can find one close to that price range if given enough time. The only thing I would like to have had with it was I.R.S. I have a ranger and the only reason I got rid of it was for the lack of riding it; wish I'd of just kept it now. If you get into remote places or anything rough at all I wouldn't want to be without 4 wheel drive. If i didn't have 4 wheel, I wouldn't go places that I go with it just for the fact or concern of getting in a bad situation with no options. -

What are you gunna get this year?
Coues79 replied to deserthntr's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Amen to that. -
11 o'clock from the doe with her head sticking out of a bush there's an agave. Doe bedded next to the agave on the right in the shade.

I wouldn't say its stupid.... there's a lot of reasons why some people have to delay putting in. For a lot of folks, it takes a while to scrounge up enough money to be able to drop several hundreds of dollars to be able to put their kids and themselves in.

Online Draw: Can you change it after you've submitted?
Coues79 replied to Airbusdriver's topic in Elk Hunting
Not if he was wanting to put a late archery hunt as as 3rd-5th choice. -
Heck of an awesome coues buck. Congrats!

2. For genera that have multiple draws within a single calendar year, an individual who successfully draws a hunt permit-tag during an earlier season may apply for a later season for the same genus if the individual has not taken the bag limit for that genus during a preceding hunt in the same calendar year. There are two draws for javelina. One for spring one for fall. These are the multiple draws that occur each year. Since you are trying to get a tag that is a later hunt, that hunt was still part of the spring draw cycle... that's why you're being denied. It's an issue that has been brought up before, especially with the deer seasons and with the amount of leftovers that occur. It makes sense to extend the bag limit to two deer if people are willing to purchase a leftover tag and hunt in that unit along with the unit that they were drawn for, especially since there are tags that never do get purchased. It also makes sense financially to sell the leftovers to create revenue for the dept. If I remember correctly, there is a law that denies this, and the dept. was going to attempt to change the rule but it was not going to be heard at the time because of some deal in the legislature; I don't remember the specifics but it was a thread on here at one time.

The edge to edge clarity on the kaibabs lack in comparison to swarovski 15's. They are comparable in center view. Depending on what you want or can do, a side by side comparison in low light conditions will show you what you want to do. The side by side comparison that I did was during the middle of the day and I could still note difference enough that i prefered the swarovskis. Do the research for yourself and do a comparison. You'll get a wide array of opinions here but only your eyes will be able to tell you what you want.

+100 for Brian. I had a huge problem with scorpions and he helpped me out getting rid of them. He came over and sprayed my home a few times. Also he gave me some really helpful hints how to get rid of those da## things. I was killing 10-25 a night for a straight month. Called Squish'em and over a little time they went down fast and eventually couldn't find them anymore. I was fed up with them!!!!! When your sitting on your couch and they start running down your arm, you know you have a problem. Thanks Brain for your help on that!!!! Thanks for giving me the heebie jeebies. I hate scorps to no end. Once you've been tagged by a bark scorp its a quick "hate"

Nice buck and Congrats on what sounds like a challenging hunt! I'm trying to figure out how in the world you pulled tag #2 on a late white tail hunt as your third choice......!?!? That's crazy. congratulations and thanks for the read.

A waiting period won't help to take that many folks out of the draw. When there's 6000 folks applying for units that have only a few dozen tags, there won't be that many people taken out of the picture even over a 10 year period. But geez, 10 years? Man I'd like to at least have a chance to hunt a bull a little more frequently than that, especially in my own state..... not a guarantee hunt but at least the possibility.

That fat looked like the stuff around the stomach when you gut an animal. I wouldn't eat or cook with deer fat but obviously some do. I thought the show was OK. The guy also shot an animal that was wounded..... not too many folks would do that on a TV show. I thought it was a good change of pace to see some coues deer hunting. Get tired of watching all the eastern white tail shows.

I agree with a Sr hunt. Give a few tags to those that have supported this state and game programs for years and years. Have to say I respect and agree with most of what Bill has to say as well; seen a lot, been around to see a lot of things change.

I think javelinahunters.com has some information. Not exactly sure if that's the site or not but its something like that. I don't know the area you're at or I'd offer some information.... its not like there's a Boone and Crockett or pope and young pig you're asking for.... heck, its just a pig. Good luck and hope you find some.
