Ready? Already done!

I once killed a mule deer buck in 31 during an early November hunt. His neck was swollen up quite big, but was running with a bachelor group. At the time I figured he was gearing up for the rut

Awesome! Way to go guys!

Noah Sarnowski. Great guy and family with a clean shop.

For what you'll spend on a processor buy a grinder from cabelas and do it yourself! You'll enjoy doing it yourself.

I love to fry mine. Clean it up like all the above have said. Slice thin, dip in egg, then flour and throw it into a hot skillet with some oil. Other than tenderloin, heart is my favorite. I prefer it more than backstrap. I love the texture and flavor it has. Great stuff.

I used the recipe at the link below with a couple of tweaks. It turned out really good! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/16359/breakfast-sausage/ For the meat I used 75% ground game meat to 25% ground pork butt. It makes the sausage a bit leaner than most are used to, but I prefer it that way. Traditional sausages are usually 50%+ fat. I also prefer it a bit leaner as well. Looks like a good recipe there. I'm gonna give it a try with a bull I just took a couple weeks ago. I made up some maple sausage but nothing else for breakfast sausage. Thanks for the link!

That's great. What recipe did you use for your breakfast sausage? I like to add a bit of beef fat for my burger. It's a dang lot of work processing yourself but worth every minute of it. Good lesson for your kids to learn how to do as well. Congrats on the deer

Baking soda and cold water. Always air dry. I don't want the dryer sheets or smells from the dryer on my camo

LoL. What a picture!

Time to start trying to kill the smallest buck possible. Maybe give him a challenge or something. Heck of a beautiful coues deer. Dream buck

Congrats on a great pair of bucks! Really cool seeing it all come together with some hard work. Good work for the legs for fall ball practice. -
I personally hate hunting around other people. But, it's a difficult situation to know how much land to let someone else have if its a huge area. If I know someone is in a place I want to hunt and I see them and can talk to them, I will straight up go ask them what their plan is and ask if I were to go to such and such, would it mess you up? Base it on that and hunt based on that discussion. If I see someone in an area and can't talk to them, I'd leave it alone and go somewhere else.

Saw a couple of great mule deer bucks over the past week on an elk hunt. In some thick stuff but they were dandy.

Stealth cam stc p12-6 MP. I purchased several of these this past year and have been very pleased with the purchase. Reliable cameras. Uses AA batteries. Small and compact. I love the price and love the quality. Amazon has them for $60.

Digging the new '16 lineups so far!

Mathews switchback XT. Still the best bow ever made -
I've got the Kings camo rain gear. It kept me dry in this last Godzilla start to El Niño. I can't believe how much rain there was up here by alpine. Anyways, one thing I dislike very much is the amount of noise it creates. There is no way to put a stalk on something and expect to get within 100 yards. Way too loud. I am looking for something more quiet now, so if anyone knows of anything I'd be all ears

I did three apps. One for me, my wife and old man. I got an email for mine. Nothing on the other two though. The app fee went out instantaneous on all three though. Pretty easy process. Where's flatlander? Put in unit 1 and 27 early hunts, respectively. Have 5 resident points. Am i going turkey hunting this year?

Sweet looking bull! That outfitter has put down some huge animals this year.

That's an awesome gesture and doing. Congrats on the experience and glad to here you're ok from that accident

Nimrod. Love mine.

Awesome work to all involved. Those are some great long lived memories

LoL. That's hilarious.

It's been very quiet on the neighboring unit in New Mexico close to the az nm border. I was in unit one this past weekend and it was insane full on rut where I was at. I have heard of a guy that had a 27 archery hunt that did have a very very difficult time. September was difficult in places for rutting from what I heard and saw the few times I was out and was hit or miss from those I've talked to that had hunts. If you can find a decent herd of cows in September the odds are you'll have some action in bugling Bulls at least in the mornings. I wouldn't say alpinebullwinkle is crying about anything. I take value in the word of those that spend a lot of time in the unit and have seen the years go by with the ups and downs of the unit. I don't get what he'd have to gain or lose by making false claims about it.

Never used or seen what you're talking about. I have a ranger mid size crew and love it. Put a 2" lift and 26" tires on it and have virtually zero issues with clearance. I like the narrower design better than the full size ranger crews. Seems better to get into places that have quad trails established. I did run into a guy with a Honda pioneer SxS a couple weeks ago. I have no clue how they run but I did like the looks of it. With a Honda name I would think they'd be good. I would also consider something with power steering. The next SxS I get will have it. I've nearly broke my thumb a few times. IDK maybe I should just man up and hold onto the steering wheel more firmly. But having that option would be nice to me.
