It's this exactly. We have a slew of corrupt legislatures that could care less about our kids education. 100% corruption and it's all our own faults for voting them in; including my own.

Great looking bird. Congrats!

Only got two here. 21 is potential for a lot of meat 😛 Good luck!

I agree with you 100% They have never charged cards up front and issued refunds. There is an AZ law against that. Yup. Still baffles me so many people don't know this. And the whole racking up "interest" deal. It'd be nice to see this law changed to allow them to charge cards up front. Seems it'd avoid a lot of problems.

^^^ Very very difficult to get a tag anymore. Weather plays a huge role in the hunt. If there is snow, it can be real difficult to move around in that unit. Roads are definitely not the best; coupled with snow, you need to be prepared for it. For the money? Hard to say. If it snows you out, then no it's not worth the money.

It'll happen on occasion. I wouldn't worry about it. They'll show back up. I always take screen shots of my charges incase something actually did happen. I've had mine disappear before only to show back up a day or two later.

I've got the call and I love mine. Great sounds.

Looks awesome Doug. Thanks for sharing!

Or an admin is funnin with ya.

Seems like a simple way to avoid as many issues would be to allow an alternative card to be entered for the draw if there are issues with the primary card....

Next year we need to just listen to ktar radio for when the hits are going to start. They were spot on a week ago.

Ha ha. That's too funny.

I agree. We need something for our elderly applicants. Good luck on getting your rocky tag soon.

That's great! Now if we can get a couple of heavy spring rains to fill up tanks and add feed to the hills, could be a banner year for these tasty little birds. -
Just as easily as this sounds like a good play, as many problems would be created by not charging today with cards that would expire. Counterproductive to wait til tomorrow. They need to just get it done and over with. Once this draws done, suspend the online system until they supposedly get it resolved again like they did a couple years ago. Inquire into NM draw department and get our own fixed.

If they're planning on releasing results mid April, CC's are gonna have to get going here real quick. Seems like it takes a little over two weeks to post results once the cards are charged. Hopefully this week, but I wouldn't be surprised if they charge over the weekend like they did with the spring draw.

Couldn't agree more. It's really bad up here. These spring winds are sucking away what little was in the ground. Been a horrible winter for the eastern mountains in this state.

The mornings can be really cold, especially for kids. I'd make sure he has more than enough to keep him warm to make for a more pleasurable experience. An inexpensive pullover face mask would be sufficient for the hunt. If your camo is patterned for similar terrain I wouldn't worry about buying anymore. If you know how to use mouth calls, they're a lot of fun to use. If not, a pot call would be good to pickup and learn how to use before the hunt. Do a little looking around on YouTube or whatever to learn some of the basic tactics behind how to use the striker to attain the sounds you want. I'd focus mostly trying to learn yelping and clucks with so little time before the hunt. Be consistent with those and you should be fine. I'd put a sling on the shotgun he is using if it's not equipped with one already. Makes it a bit easier. Butt pads are nice to have as well. A lot of turkey vests have them built into the vest already. Once you call one in and see it strutting around you'll be hooked. Tons of fun. Good luck.

Interesting report from Mary. Too bad they couldn't have moved a couple more people internally for the time being to get everything processed more quickly and with less stress on everyone. I imagine they're ready to have it done as well. Nice to read info from someone within and have somewhat of an idea. Hopefully they'll hit cards this week or weekend.

They'll be gobbling early morning then and die off as they hit the ground. Very occassional gobbles from then on. Likely be henned up and tough to pull in from the hens. Don't neglect middle of the day setups in areas where there are birds. Quite a few birds in 23 scattered all over. Have fun.
