BRKNAROW replied to jamaro's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Jamaro, I own Broken Arrow Guide Service here in Oracle AZ good coues country. Give me a call I can always be of good help. (520) 896-9629. Rolando Romo -
I have 13 points and my old man has 14. Do you think we should put in together or seperate? Also what unit has the best odds of getting drawn, my old man can get around much and he needs mto get drawn soon.

I use nothing but Vortex for deer. I have taken a few deer and just made traking better with the 2 inch cut, I even blew through a mule deer buck at 100 yards with a Vortex broke a rib.

Now what the heck are you going to chase down with that thing Dave. Not really last year up in 33 we seen a guy who had one of those suzuki jeeps all decked out and even painted camo he was fitting in some tight spots.Hope to see it when you are done.

Well I didnt mean to get evrybody all worked up, I just thought it was wrong for those guys I seen an the TVshow . But G&F said that it was legal to bait other than bears. I thought that it might be cool to hunt pigs out of a blind those piggies are getting harder and harder to find.
-
Well here it is I called the G&F and they said it is legal. So I cant wait to put out some feeders for Javelina so my clients will be sure to have a good chance of getting one. I know down in the river bottom is a good place.
-
I was watching a show the otherday on the Mens Channel called Legends Quest the guys who own the Vortex company and Wards Outfitters put on the show were hunting javelina in AZ archery in a blind, in a riverbottom had a feeder set up and the pigs were going crazy eating what seem to be corn kernnels. It took a second viewing of the show to see the feeder it was hanging in a mesquite tree then you could see the corn on the ground and the pigs eating them up. I thought it was illegal to bait anygame in AZ. Hope no G&F guys noticed it or OH OH.

BRKNAROW replied to azhuntnut's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
This December while out witrh a client we glassed up 5 lions on one hill side over in unit 33 the bad thing about it there are houes just about a little over a mile away it looked like a female with 2 kittens and two toms trying to mate the feamale it was cool and of course no tag . but it was cool to watch them. I just wonder how close they get to those houses? -
Legal to carry pistol during Archery only Hunts
BRKNAROW replied to AZP&Y's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I thought It was totally illegal , but I guess if you want to you can. I just know there is some unhonest people that might just put a bullet in an animal during the archery hunt. And for the ones that are glad to carry one down in the 36 units I hope your handguns are compareable the the AK-47's and Uzi the drug runners carry. Just remember to turn around and look the otherway and you will be safer that to make a deal about it. I have ran into some of the crossers that are coming to the U.S. to find work and they just ask for water and I am more than happy to give it to them. -
You are welcome and hope your son has more sucessful hunts to come . I am here to help. espicially kids

Trade Coues hunt ofr Antelope
BRKNAROW replied to BRKNAROW's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in New Mexico
Hey Dave whats going on.Do any archery hunting pig or deer? I went out behind the house a few times but had nothing but bad luck. First has a big 4 point muley at 50 yards pulled back and noticed my sights were gone. Second had a 3 point muley at 40 yards walking up a hill pushing a doe and I didnt lead him enough, then the other times they just seen me before I seen them. On the 31st I went to 33 about 10 minutes from the house and drove by a 115 inch coues standing on the side of the road 20 yards. Jumped out dropping arrows trying to puy my release on he took off and stood on top of a little ridge 100 yards away and just let me admire him, he was a big 3 point. Then on the way home I caught glimpse of a buck wakling towards the road he was wide and tall turned around but never found him it was thick of manzinita and cat claw. So that was my month of January oh yeah went out with chapo on the 1st and called in a pig for him 15 yards and he nailed him. Have some rifle hunters for pig this month. So talk to you later. Thanks for the post, I really want my dad to take an anteope he has 16 points for AZ but you know that dont mean anything. -
I will trade a coues deer hunt in unit 33 for a antelope hunt in NM. Broken Arrow Guide Service gets good bucks as were featured on Majestic Outdoors TV show. Will get you a good buck. Please email me at rk11902@msn.com. Thank you Rolando Romo
