I have to say not the same bull also. I have found sheds for years off the same bulls and they almost always keep the same look. I'll post a set from lay year and a set from this year I picked up. Big difference in size but identical frame. Sweet sheds though bud.

I ended up drawing the second archery hunt here. Only took me 16 years to draw another tag in NM! Haha looking for some input as to what the hunt is like. I know where I want to hunt I think. Just really curious as to what to expect during mid September there. Pics of bulls taken? How the rut was during this time period?

I have shot those arrows before. Thought they were pretty cool until after about 3 shots the arrow was broke. And they weren't cheap arrows! Really fast, but no penetration and not very durable. That was probably 10 or so years back. Maybe they've improved on them, but deff not for me.

Log in and see if you can add a private deer tag to your cart. It tells me I already have a deer tag issued. Also my dad only put in for elk and opted to refund his license fee if not drawn. Won't let him add a hunting license to his cart, says he's already purchased one. Still antsy here, but at least I know I'll be hunting at least a couple hunts here this year!

Tomorrow the emails will be sent if they stick to their habits. I'm still a little skeptical also. It says I have a deer tag already. My dad's showing a license sold on 4/19, he only put in for elk this year. And all 3 of my kids can buy licenses and private deer tags. So I'm hoping it's wrong and I don't draw, but my kids do lol. We hall see. -
I see one down and a little left of the green tree center left of both pics. But that's it

Shane you have to log into your account and go to 'buy licenses' try to add a private deer license to your cart. It will tell you you already have a tag if drawn and won't let you put in your cart. Good luck! -

I have a leupold base and rings on my rifle now, and honestly I've had nothing but issues with this set up. What I am wanting is a 10-15 moa base. The problem is I can't find one for this rifle. I have heard that the rem 700 base will fit, but I'm a little concerned about it. Does the vanguard base fit? Suggestions?

Just ordered the talley 20 moa rail. Thanks for the info guys! That's what I was looking for.

You just go buy an over the counter tag. No points involved. So no you don't lose them

Went up to my hot spot in northern NM last week and had a great time with the family! Ended up finding 64 sheds and 120 total for our group if 5. It was a trip I won't soon forget. I hope everyone has a great year shed hunting!

That was almost $4k right there. And good luck on the $30 a pound

I got one of those flyers in the mail, and got a cc hit as well. I doubt it's connected though.

Yeah we did sell them. At these prices I won't hang into them.
-

NM Shedder I'm down in Hobbs. I have to travel quite a ways to hunt sheds. Found a great spot in NM finally though!

Went out on a scouting trip here in NM for a couple days last week. I ended up finding over 30 really good bulls and picked up a few sheds that I missed last year. Including one of the best sheds I've found in last 10 years. Can't wait to get back up there and match it up and start finding the fresh ones. measured just over 175"

Elk tag fees by state AZ R-$185. NR-$825 NM R-$106. NR-$845 UT R-$311/$539 NR-$865/$1570 NV R-$168. NR-$1357 So NM is the cheapest for a resident to apply in. But let's compare a trophy unit in NM to a Trophy unit in AZ for elk. NM unit 15 gives out 1870 elk tags plus who knows how many landowner tags. AZ unit 9 gives out 800 total elk tags. In Utah a resident can only apply for 1 species per year, still like that idea? NV gives out very few tags and once you draw an elk tag there, your out for 10 years! You guys sure complain a lot without knowing what your truly complaining about. AZ residents have it pretty dang good!

I'm not happy about the price increases here. But take a look around and start pricing things and compare those items to what they cost 5 years ago. I know I put 35" toyo's on my truck about 5 years back, cost me just under $1000. Went to put them on my new truck, $1500! Milk went from $2 a gallon to $4. The fleet company we lease trucks for increased their prices by over 20% in the last 2 years. This trend isn't going to reverse itself, get used to it guys. Prices go up on everything for everyone. If you guys think the G&F's can operate on the exact same budget year after year, you must live in a bubble. I'd be willing to bet you can find their financial records online with a little digging.
