    Granite Mtn. Hotshot Benefit

We will be there for sure!
  6. Man what a ride this tourney ended up being! About an hour before our launch time the winds kicked up and it got wicked out there! 30-4mph sustained winds generated 4-5 foot waves on the lake. We couldn't get our boats on the water until almost 11:30! Once we launched it was a mad scramble to find the best water and the fish. A quick 5 hours later we were all back at the weigh in talking about how awful the fishing was. Haha. It only took 148 pounds of fish to win and only 66 pounds for 3rd place! All in all, despite the weather, everyone had a kick arse time. We raised a little over $4700 that goes directly to the families of the fallen heroes. Here's a few pics: Sweet banner from Hitagap Signs. Mark does amazing work! First place team Second place team Third place team I was fortunate enough to win the bow combo package raffle!! And here's the whole crew with our take for the night. A lucky feller, and really cool guy, named Randy from Mayor won the fully loaded Carbon Element. From what my buddy told me his dad was pretty dang excited!!!! Thank you again to all who participated from volunteers to shooter to sponsors and everyone in between. We couldn't have done all this without you!
  7. Thanks guys. I've never attempted organizing anything like this before. I did have a ton of help from my girlfriend Kaela and good friends Deason and Ashley. It was challenging to say the least. I learned a ton and will for sure change it up for next year. What made this event so great is the overwhelming support from everyone involved. All the teams were in the second I told them of my plans to make it a fundraiser. The Sponsors stepped up huge and donated a ton of stuff. We had a giant table of free stuff and and 30 or 40 items that we raffled off after the shoot as well. A special thanks has to go out to Bull Basin Archery in Flagstaff. Junior went above and beyond when he donated a FULLY LOADED Hoyt Carbon Element with arrows and a case. He also made a quick call to Hoyt and a fully loaded Hoyt Ruckus was in our hands in a week. Also thank you to PSE in Tucson who donated a PSE Barracuda bowfishing bow, and Catalina Marina in Tucson who donated a fully loaded G5 Torch ladies bow. There were so many sponsors who donated I can't even remember the final count and we appreciate it more than you all know! This will be an annual event for us as long as we can possibly continue it so look for the 2nd Annual Granite Mountain IHC Benefit Bowfishing Tournament early next Spring!

    Most exciting post ever

Empty milk jugs or 2 liter soda bottles. I line the bottom of my ice chest with them. Works great and you can re use them a few times before they start to leak. Occasionally you can find the 2 liters on sale for .99 so it's a pretty cheap alternative.
  9. It went well despite horrific wind. Ill get the story and some pics posted as soon as I can.
  10. With the help of my buddy Deason (HUNTAZ), his wife and my girlfriend, I've put together this fundraiser event scheduled for August 17, 2013. 6.5x284

I have noticed the same thing with the 140 AMAX. Published BC Was slightly lower than actual BC. I have only harvested one animal with my gun and its the buck in my avatar from Mexico earlier this year. The shot was 497 yards. I drilled him right through the shoulders, right where I was aiming. My buddy called the shot and said I hit him in the guts. In reality though what he saw was the shock wave of the bullet rippling through that deer's entire body. Extremely impressed with the performance to say the least.

140 AMAX for me is .030 off the lands. Anything closer wouldn't group consistently.

    6.5x284

I'm pushing my 140 AMAX at 2850fps with H4350 with the same excellent results Michael has with the 4831SC. Single digit ES as well. All this out of a stock Savage LRH. I also have a second accuracy node but that load is too hot for my comfort.

    P90X

Anyone here do the full 90 days?? I am in the gym regularly and change up my routines every 6 weeks, but I'm in a rut and getting bored with traditional workouts. I am thinking of giving this program a try. The muscle confusion theory if very intriguing to me. Haven't heard of anyone that has done it though. Just looking for a little feedback. Thanks!
  23. Long story short I was in a bow fishing tournament last weekend at Roosevelt Lake. Had the troller at full speed headed towards a large tree when it shut off for some reason. In the mad scramble to pull the troller and keep my boat from crashing into the tree I set my bow on the raised deck and it went into the lake. I'm pretty sick over it. It's a brand new Mission Craze. I'm going back as soon as I can to try to maybe snag it off the bottom with a big treble hook. I tried swimming but it's in 22.6 feet of water and I can't get down far enough. Figured I'd ask if anyone that dives is interested in helping me out. Let me know what you think. I appreciate it.

Archery Mule Deer Hunting in Unit 21

If it wasn't stacked with people before it will be now. Gotta be really careful when naming specific mountains/landmarks/canyons etc on the Internet. Especially when you say it's full of deer sign and pigs.
