    *2012 No Excuses Video Trailer

Wow boddy, nice vid. I did my archery hunt solo this year as well. It sure can be tough on the ego when you aren't seeing what you are after for long streaks, and definitely gives a man ample time to ponder life. That shot with the non-typical and the bull together was awesome! This reminds me i should actually use my camera during my hunts, not just when my hunt is over. I've missed countless memory opportunities.

    DIY drinker help

For legality, take into consideration what is currently up on the Coconino National Forest home page: NOTICE TO HUNTERS Parking or reserving camping locations by leaving trailers, motorhomes, tents and other property is prohibited. Property left on the forest unoccupied is considered abandon after 72 hours. Title 36 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) 261.10(e) Tree stands are permitted if they do not cause resource damage i.e. cutting limbs, putting nails and bolts into trees or any other permanent alteration/injury to trees or surrounding vegetation. Tree stands need to be removed after daily use. Tree stands left unoccupied for any extended period of time is prohibited. Title 36 CFR 261.9(a) and 262.13. Currently there is no specific regulation regarding game cameras left in the forest. The FS does are not recommend leaving any property in the forest. Game cameras have been frequently reported stolen and after 72 hours they are considered abandon property.

    DIY drinker help

This guy on Youtube shows how he does it in Arizona. Public Land. He doesn't go into the legality at all, and I don't know anything about it. He has a little business or website linked to himself, so I'm sure anyone could figure out who he is exactly.

    OH YEAH

Eastern Whitetail would be my guess, at least it would make more sense to me.

    YOU TELL ME!!!

The only way we could tell the area is if A)we too have done the same amount of work and can specifically identify a huge or unique buck you post, which if that is the case, then no additional people know about the spot. Or, if it is obviously a specific cattle trough or has a very unique skyline of a popular area in the cam shot. Your pics did not have type B, so I don't see the issue.

    Strip Archery DIY's

Yeah, the man whose knowledge, opinion and most importantly RESULTS that I respect more than anyone's on the STRIP says that it will be rough up there this year for both size of bucks and finding the deer. The drought hurt alot for growth, and then it has rained so much since the beginning of July that the deer are much more spread out than usual and not partial to one waterhole with trail cameras on it over the next dirt tank or puddle in the road just around the corner. There are still some shooters, you will just have to do it the classic "old fashioned way." Heres to hoping that your "spot and stalk" efforts include a healthy amount of stalking on your hunt and not just spotting:) As for me, I'll be sneaking around the kaibab.

    Leaving a Bull overnight

One thing to think about, my brother arrowed a buck at last light a few years ago. We were not confident in the shot placement, let him sit overnight, and when we tracked him down in the morning, the coyotes had got to him and there was not an ounce of meat left on his entire body!!

    Kaibab Archery Hunt

I think it will be a fun hunt this year. Last year we saw more bucks than we ever have before, not a single one spotted from a truck or a road though. That is the key. My two cents: Get off the roads, hike slow, and glass the opposite hillsides and bottoms when it isn't too thick to do so. There were TONS of guys, more than I have ever seen, hunting from blinds and treestands over salt and water with disappointing results. Just cuz you got a decent buck on a trail cam before season doesn't mean much once the people start thronging the woods in camo. Sure some good ones are killed that way every once in a while, but you are not going to see 40 bucks a weekend sitting on your butt:) There are 700 hunters up there, and all of the accessible water sources are no secret.
