My dad and brother were hit on my dads card for early bull tags a few weeks ago. Last week they had a random $50 credit come through from G&F on the same card, any thoughts, anyone else had this? My dad isn't the type to worry about the small stuff, so I'll do it for them. Waiting for this draw is a killer.

Currently experiencing system problems...

My little brother is a youth, but he put in for early bull tags at full price, and it was a credit?
-
Well, it doesn't look like to today is the day for results to post... there is always tomorrow...
-
They probably didn't mean for any to be shown. They get a call and realize, Oh Crap, some people can see the results! take them down!, I repeat, take them down! ...too late... phones lines completely blowing up....
-
So at this point is the draw being finished by some dude with glasses and a laptop sitting in a broom closet on carefree, or these poor ladies everyone keeps calling and bothering so that they don't have time to sort out the rest of the credit card problems?
-
If you bought a license over the counter recently for this draw, I also would suspect there is a good chance that would not be linked to your account yet either, and maybe thats why some guys have no draw results or license info up at all.

Very interesting, must be only posting in phases, or my online account isn't set up correct to reflect this year's draw, although it does show my current license.
-
Mine still shows last year's tag only.

I have a bunch of cheap compact ones that use AA batteries. You can buy bundles or bulk on ebay, and I've had good luck with all of them. The key is just make sure you are buying newer model/recently made cams within the last couple years. Even the lower end companies have improved their cams alot in recent years.

Yeah the extra 140 tags in 20C doesn't make sense to me. Maybe 2014 was a good hunt year and they are making a knee jerk reaction when it has been very sub par for every other year. It looks like the axed Kaibab archery due to harvest being over 20% of total harvest, at least it was that way in 2013 and must have been similar in 2014. 250 seems like a big decrease though, thats 36% tag decrease.

If you have a windows 7? or later, you should have the "Snipping Tool" program that is pretty easy to use. Since they weren't posted by 9am today, it'll probably be tomorrow morning at the earliest.

Went camping last night with the fam. Found this a couple minutes from camp, the son was on my back. Any shed around Kingman is to be celebrated, believe me, so we were happy happy happy!

We come in off the north side, White Mountain Apache license, want 4 wheel drive, lots of bears and fish. I saw 5 bears in a couple days once many years ago, one wouldn't leave us alone and came to camp every night! He new what he was doing, would climb up the tree and break the rope to make the food backpack fall... Beginning of June is usually when we hit it good.

Nice Update

They only way I would be ok with a mandatory waiting period would be if it was instituted for the very top premium hunts only, like hunts under 4% draw success for instance. You draw one of those tags for elk, you have to wait 5 to 8 years maybe before you are eligible to draw another top premium tag. You can still hunt early archery etc in most of the state in the mean time, just not the very top premium hunts. I don't hunt these units, so it wouldn't really affect me, just seems fair.

Did you call them? My account always lags a couple days before they show charges. Yes, you have to call and then have talk to a rep to get the actual most recent pendings. The automated "most recent transcations" does not give pendings.

Cabelas says I got hit, I can't believe it. Archery bull here we go again baby!
-
Yeah, that thing looks skinned and pressure washed! Nice find
-
Interesting request. No comment on that. Was thinking the bull would be hard to identify, but it does appear to have some distinguishing features: a left beam that goes up at the very back, and a right beam that goes down and a pretty sharp angle?

Man, what DOES you insurance cover? Bodies are so very fragile, we forget when we haven't had anything major happen for some time, but eventually we all are reminded.

My guess is, the wife at the mall? Daughter at college?

My opinion is that we're in for a good wait yet. There were several issues with this years application process, A.) People's licenses online didn't match the licenses they bought in stores. B.) Some people were getting charged multiple times for a single application. C.) The "highly unusual simultaneous server crash" that then created D.) Draw deadline was extended a day. Some transparency, press release, heads up, estimated time frame from the department would always be nice.

This is a little bit of a story, but some may be interested. Started with me and the dog finding this expired elk while scouting last summer. Looked to have been dead for maybe 6 to 12 months. I got ahold of the G&F and they agreed to go out and take a look with me. It was maybe around a 3 mile round trip hike, and the warden was great guy for putting up with me and going the extra mile:) He couldn't see any fowl play or obvious causes of death, so he let me take the head. I learned alot about G&F officers that afternoon. He says when he is driving on the highway and someone passes him going 100 miles and hour, he will pull them over and give them a ticket, and they always think that he isn't allowed to or something. They often don't receive full "law enforcement" respect that others would normally give to DPS or police etc. Anyway, needless to say, the head I carried out still had hardened leather skin and a foul odor attached. It took many hours of work, two boiling sessions, and covering the antlers in Arm and Hammer Odor Fighter paste to get it cleaned up decent and to kill the odor. I de-greased it, and the wife says she would rather have it copper than white. I did Rustoleum "Hammered" spray paint and I think it turned out nice enough to be allowed into her domain.
