Back straps and liver and onions for dinner. Obviously, story time for all that were not involved and a few too many cocktails.

LOL waterfowl hunting in AZ is vastly different than many other states. For a variety of reason: One there isn't that many great places to hunt ducks. So most people that have a good duck spot wont tell you(I'm lucky enough to have some access on some private property, that we do quite well at.) Most of the hunting around that Flagstaff area will be what we like to call Pond Jumping. Its pretty much all in the name, you drive to one of the hundreds of watering holes if their are ducks on the pond you figure out a game plan to Jump them off the pond and shoot them. Now obviously people put out decoys on the upper and lower lake mary but personally the number of ducks just don't warrant that type of set up. I used to blast ducks all day long off the shores or Mormon Lake but those days are long gone. One thing when Pond Jumping the ducks that you see there today probably wont be there tomorrow. Most of these birds are migrating south and just use the ponds as a recharge station, from what I have seen. 6B, 6A, 5B, have tons of tanks as a good starting point. Ps Kinnikinick lake was the best lake when we would set up a blind with our dogs but I haven't been in that area for years hunting ducks.

^^^^^^^^ This right here im leaving work to go pick up my two year old and chase her around all weekend. Ps. Welcome to the elusive 1k club. You really don't have to hunt much any more, the animals will just fall into your lap.
-
My buddy sent me a blood trail pic at 7am ish and I haven't heard from him since. We might already have our first wounded bull story. In his defense he shoots multiple times a week and takes money from me every time we do the walking course at Ben Avery.
-
This is exactly right. We teach this exact scenario in Hunter Ed. You have a legal right to track the animal, but you have to prove you shot it in your unit first. That's where you contact the WM for your unit before heading into the neighboring unit with your firearm or bow. My friends don't call me Game and Fish for no reason and for GJMauro12 I would have to say that if a bull was in the middle of the creek, that you knew was the boundary of your unit, it might be legal but I would be hard pressed to pull the trigger. For the fact that I would have to prove my case to them to legally take my animal. One game and fish ranger told me its never good to have a rifle and a tag and be in a unit that isn't on your tag.
-
I have been told that in the case that metau is talking about you would need to contact G&F and have them on site when you go into the other unit. I know of one case the hunter was only allowed to track the wounded animal for about a quarter mile until they were forced to stop looking.

Congrats on a nice buck.
