Man that's some nice work! I wouldn't think anyone related to Gus could come up with something that nice.

I had time this afternoon for one stand ,so I hit a spot that I had a cat come into before but did not get a shot at. Well this time it worked out perfect. I had just started the caller along with the whirling woodpecker when I was looking to my left I turned back to look at the caller and up on the hill out in front of me I noticed something as soon as I thought it was a bobcat it sat up and started in to the call hard and fast. I lost sight of it through the brush but caught movement and hit it with some #4 Buck. It is a nice mature tom with worn down teeth. It ended up being a great day before birthday present.

Awesome buck Lardog! He's a beauty. Congrats to Randy.

Just weighed him at #22.5 he sure looked big coming to the call. May have to get this one mounted, although I've got a line on a super secret spot that a buddy of mine saw three big bobcats in two days while deer hunting.

I'm sure he was just hunting coyotes Ha

One of the best things I learned when I took my first class many years ago was if you feel like you have to use deadly force make sure it is that. You never want to just leave the perp wounded. Also you should tell the first officer on the scene you want a lawyer, and do not tell anyone anything besides your lawyer. Even the police when involved in a shooting are not allowed to talk with anyone. I was involced in a shooting many years ago and it is amazing how your brain reacts to such a tramatic event. You will remember things days later that were very relavent that you could not the day of the incident. I would highly recommend taking a CCW class it is so much more than just learning about concealed carry.

I also own one of these knives and I really like it. I have been using them alot lately on coyotes and with the blade that is rounded on the end they work great for skinning out the heads and faces. The are very light weight as well even with a couple of extra blades in the pack, In order to get the blades off sometimes when they are sticky I use a screwdriver just to pop the backside of the blade to move it forward in the groove. Then it pops rigth off. They have there own website to buy directly as well.

I feel for ya man. They are such tough animals that when you don't hit them just right they can run, stop bleeding, and disapeer. Good luck

Missed a decent 3x3 coues with my bow on New Years Day so I was pretty depressed, but got back after it today and shot this little stinker. I always get pumped up to hunt javelina with a bow. Seems like it always turns into an adventure.

That picture of Hap is great! He did the same thing with the lion I took. He was half way up the tree trying to get a piece of that cat. Outstanding. The Michael Jordan of dogs. Lol
-
Way to go! That is a pretty looking cat. Was ole Hap responsible for that.

Good job Casey. Nice coat on that one. Are you skinning them out.

On a windy day it is very hard to call critters they hate the wind as much as us. I won't even call on the windy days, but the day that follows is usually very good. If you don't want to carry a ladder just simply stand. Get burried up in a tree or bush to break up your outline. In fact I stand as much as I sit when calling. Good luck on those coyotes.

Got this male this afternoon he came into cat on chicken. Also hit a nice grey fox at 25yds, it hit the dirt then I turned the caller back on and it jumped up and ran away I was really bummed that I could not find it.

Made one stand this morning and had this coyote charge in. It was pretty cool because I was set up in a bunch of draws and set my caller across the closest draw and she must have been right on the other side. I thought about setting up on the other side so I'm glad i didn't, I probably would have spooked her out. The lucky turkey feather also caught her attention.

Went out to call in a canyon I missed a bobcat in last year. I have called in hear many times and never seen a coyote. I tried to pass up on the dogs but this one came in after 30 minutes plus he was too pretty to pass up.

I recieved my new Minaska M-1 the other day and asked my buddy Todd if he wanted to go test it out with me. This is the second Minaska caller I have owned and they work real well. We made three stands and called in two coyotes and a nice grey fox. i was really suprised to get anything to come in last night the wind was terrible, but the caller worked awesome.

These guys in my front yard everynight

Congratulations that is a very cool looking buck, and awesome shot!

Way to go on the badger that is what I asked santa for. I would get more excited for a badger to come in than a bobcat.

The coyotes sure were hungry today. I figured with a break in the rain this morning I would skip out on some work this afternoon.Glad I did. I made nine stands and had takers on seven. First stand after 30 minutes I switched to coon pup and pissed off a heard of javi's. They came in and had a fit with the caller. Two big males were running around it and I paused then hit Mad Cougar and one bit the caller. It was very entertaining. Next two stands I carried the shotgun and wish I hadn't. Called in and hit two dogs but those tough s.o.b.'s got away. Next stand took the ar-15 and whacked a nice male 5 minutes in. Next couple stands were in real thick cover so I took the gauge again and called in two more but they winded me and busted out before I could get a shot. On my last stand called in three but only connected with one. It was my best day of calling so far. Josh
