This guy wanted me to catch a 10" to 12" fish, he was having trouble finding one small enough to fly away with.

Here is a photo of my 12 ft Jon in the back of a Toyota. Hit a local lake Sunday morning and boated 4 Brown trout 17 to 21 inches, along with a few quality Rainbows. No decent trout photos because I was fishing solo.
-
Mine showed up. Now if someone would mail me the body and eyes of an 18 year old, I'd be set.

I had the same idea, but wanted the biggest boat I could fit in the back of my truck, a Toyota with a shell. Got a 12" tracker Jon. My rule is, check the weather, and avoid any wind over 10MPH. The last two years, I have put it on Strawberry in Utah with 2 adults. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/76126-strawberry-report-photos/

6A November Muzzleloader, non Resident It’s been a few years since I last drew an AZ. Tag. Do they still send a hard copy tag, and when can I expect to see it in the mail

I have a pending charge for a NR elk tag.

Non resident with 7 points, what are my chances of drawing, November Muzzle loader bull elk in 6A

Stayed at the lodge and spent a few days fishing with my brother. A bit chilly in the AM, but that cuts down on the water skiers. Fishing was good.

When you can't draw a tag, it beats staying home.

Boated about 80 fish in 4 days. Mostly trolling lures.

I'll be headed to the Berry in a few weeks with my 12 ft flatbottom. Driving from central Calif. to Vegas to pick up my brother, then on to northern Utah in search of bigger trout. Any recent reports ? How is the water leval ?

Flatline maps are more than just a map. Last time I hunted AZ, I took the advice and purchased a Flatline. After a few days of scouting a new unit, I realized I was useing the Flatline more than my binoculars. With all the road closures, hidden "tanks" and pockets of private property, the map was probably the most useful piece of equipment i had.

Flatline Maps - HEALY in Tempe Carries Every Unit They Print
Anaconda replied to Healy Arms's topic in The Campfire
I've said this before. The best $40 you will spend on a hunt. Consider it a piece of equipment that you will not leave home without, like binoculars.- 7 replies

Nothing as of this morning, the hope is fading fast. When do the put results on the portal accounts ?

In the last 15 years or so, I have drawn 4 non resident Arizona tags . All the charges showed up 3 to 4 days after other people started reporting charges. I'm holding out until tomorrow night. There is still hope !!!!

As a nor-res. I was realistic on my application. I consulted the gods of the draw, and put in for late hunts with a real chance. With 6 points, I should draw. I have a valid back up plan. So why am I going crazy waiting ?? Arizona is one state where a fat, old rookie has a chance to luck on to a monster.

I'm in for a long shot early muzz tag.

Is Arizona getting decent rainfall this winter ? I know the spring monsoons are more important, but a decent snowpack is a good start. i live on the left coast, and we are getting pounded, like 200% of normal for late January. Could be a good year for those tiny Az bulls to grow some decent antlers ?

6 NR points, I think I'm going for late rifle.

"a .270 Win model 70 that I'm very comfortable out to 400 yards" You answered your own question right here. The .270, with good heavy bullet is enough. The fact that you are "Very comfortable" with it is the deciding factor. Don't think twice.
