Learned something. Thanks for posting.

It looks like about 2 inches of snow in Flag so far with tonights storm. Hopefully we get more moisture out of this storm later today. Flag is now about 2.16 inches of precipitation above average since september 1st.

I use an under armour camouflage face mask for archery hunting and it works pretty good. The one pretty much like the one I got is called Under armour mens cold gear infrared scent control hood. You can find it at cabelas.com and its 35 bucks. It stays tight to your face and you can put the bottom half of the face cover over your nose, below your nose, on your chin, or below your chin. I put the bottom half of the face mask just below my nose for archery hunting, so I can still feel my nose on the string for my anchor point.

AZTB5, Congrats on your bird. It can sometimes be better hunting during the week with less hunters out and possible better conditions. My buddy was scouting on Tuesday morning and he had them gobbling in multiple locations. In Flag on Tuesday and Wedneseday it was really calm though. It may have been different where you were though. It's now looking like a rain storm for the turkey hunters on Monday and Tuesday.

Awesome. Congrats!

I went out scouting this morning with a friend that has a second season tag. We didn't hear any gobbling today. There was about 2 to 3 inches of snow on the ground where we were at, and it was snowing all morning. I'm not sure if the snow coming down all morning kept them from gobbling, or we may not have been where they happened to be but thats unlikely. Sometimes they just don't cooperate. I'm not saying that the snow stopped them from gobbling i'm just unsure. I have a feeling that they will really be gobbling the next couple of days after this cold front that just went through if the wind stays down. Did anyone else hear any today in the rain and snow?

Good luck youth hunters!

Awesome story. You'll get them next year.

I asked this last year and I'm asking it again this year. Last year I think brown broke and unbroke elk shed antlers were like 11 to 12 dollars a pound. I was just wondering if the elk shed prices were still the same this year? I appreciate any info, thanks.

I antler hunt for the fun of it, and selling the antlers just helps pay for some of the gas.
-
ok thanks. It sounds like they're paying about the same as last year.

35 to the goal. The more the better. -
Shawn, Miller doesn't always play man to man.
-
UofA isn't very good on defense when they play man to man. Just watch Arizona in the first half of the second asu game and against Ohio State in the first half in the 2nd game of the tournament. Also don't forget about today against wisconsin. Arizona was playing man to man and did horrible. I think that they play better in the zone. They should have tried to get Frank Kaminski fouled out from the beginning. It's easy for me to second guess though. I would have felt somewhat satisfied with a final four. It was fun watching them this year and they had a good team.
