Here's how Flagstaff is doing this winter so far. Flagstaff has seen 12.61 inches of precipitation since September 1st, 2015 to now. By this time last year Flagstaff was at 10.02 inches of precipitation. The normal value is 10.29 inches for this current date. So that makes Flagstaff 2.32 inches of precipitation above average currently and 2.59 inches of precipitation above last year. So we're doing better than last year and still above average for precipitation. For Flagstaff since September 1st Flagstaff has seen 71.7 inches of snow. The normal value for this current date is 58.6 inches. So Flagstaff is 13.1 inches of snow above average in snowfall. Last year Flagstaff had 29.7 inches of snow at this current date. So Flagstaff has had 42 inches more in snowfall this year than last year at this current time. So this year we're getting storms more in the form of snow than rain compared to last year. So I think that for at least the Flagstaff area it's doing pretty good, but I'm not sure about other specific areas of the state. I would take a tag this year over last year so far.

It goes through my mind when I apply but I put in for archery every year no matter what the dates are. Although I prefer the start dates to be around the 14th or 15th of September.

Awesome! This is the best news I've heard in a while.

It looks like a big bodied javelina. Cool story and thanks for posting it. -
Hunt success in Unit 18B on the juniors hunts!

Congrats on getting some javelina. -
The boquillas is just money hungry, period. They seem to dictate how we should hunt and how much it should cost to hunt. I'm done with the boquillas and would never pay 500 dollars extra to hunt a high demand hunt. I just put in for other more quality so called high demand hunts in other units that are free. If the boquillas owned all the land that they charge to hunt I might feel different but they don't.

I just don't think that they should be able to keep hunters out or charge to hunt on it since it's checkerboard land. I think that if they want to keep people out they should have to buy the rest of the land in the checkerboard area. I hope that makes sense but if it doesn't that's what I think.

Try units 10, 15a/15b,18a,18b, or the 19a early hunt for archery. You also might try 5b,7,9,17b,and 19b. I would put in for all of those units before 3bn if it were me. I went to unit 7 on an archery antelope hunt last year with a friend of mine. We saw quiet a few bucks and he got some shots. We also ran into rattlesnakes on the hunt but I'm sure a lot of the archery hunts have snakes. I stick to the rifle antelope hunts because I'm not a big fan of watching out for snakes every step. Good luck with whatever unit that you choose.

Congrats on a sweet buck! I have no idea whether that processor is any good or not, so I'm no help.

This may be a dumb question, but would you guys need to know the names of the people that entered or are our names already somewhere saved under our profile on here? I can't remember. Thanks.

Great job and congrats on both of your successful hunts. Some of the most fun hunting is chasing rutting mule deer.

Great pics and lion. Awesome

Awesome. Congrats on a successful pig hunt.

My opinion is negative, but I didn't hunt unit 9 last year. I've hunted unit 9 before last years experiment and it was fine how it was. A better experiment would be to start the archery season every year around the 14th or 15th of September and no earlier and have the early rifle hunts start afterwards. That's just my opinion.

Don martin posts a lot of hunts that he guides in 16a on here from that unit. If it were me I would send him a message. Maybe he could give you some advice on how the quality of the unit is.

I don't think that I've ever seen a coues with a double main been like that, what an awesome find. Great job filling a javelina tag with a bow on a rifle hunt.

Man what an awesome find. Is that north of the grand canyon or south of it?
