Congrats on getting a bird.

Congrats on getting a bird out in 6a.
-
Yeah you definitely had a good day. I have days where my worst day turns into a really good day at the very end of the day.

I've never seen a black rattlesnake. Did you hear any gobbles on your hunt in 23? Cool pic and thanks for posting.
-
Adicted, thanks for the update on your hunt.
-
I was wondering the same thing. It seems like someone would have posted a pic from the youth hunts by now.
-
Good luck to all of the junior turkey hunters this weekend. It's looking like low winds for Friday and Saturday. Also remember to post hunt stories and pics when you get back.
-
I went out again today and they were gobbling.
-
Way to keep at it. Congrats on your successful hunt.

Is anyone else hearing anything recently? I went out to unit 6b today, and didn't hear anything. It was pretty windy this morning, and that might be why I didn't hear anything.

Yeah kranowski or whatever his name is missed shots that he almost always makes.

The refs showed up in their tar heels shirts. It seems like every year the West coast teams get refs that don't want them to win. They know if they can get certain players in foul trouble than that team is going to have a hard time winning. Just look back when Arizona played Duke in the championship in 2001. The refs were pretty bad that game against Arizona.

I believe that the hunt runs from the 15th thru 28th which should be excellent dates for the rut. Also the antler growth should be pretty good with the winter moisture that we've had. You might want to purchase an Arizona game and fish department unit 10 map. This map has all of the road numbers in the unit as well as the road numbers on the Boquillas Ranch. I'm pretty sure that they would sell them at the Arizona game and fish offices. If you decide that you want to hunt the Boquillas Ranch on your hunt I would visit the website, huntbigboranch.com. On this website they have all of the ranch rules and access fees. Some of the main rules on the ranch are no spotlighting, no hunting within 100 yards of a tank (stupid rule), no baiting, no treestands, no atvs and utvs on the ranch, no horses and mules, and no off roading unless you're retrieving an elk. Off of the ranch it is legal to hunt tanks, use atvs and utvs, and use treestands. So if you hunt off the ranch you have more freedom. Ranch prices are like 80 bucks for the permit holder and 80 bucks per a hunter assistant. They start selling the passes in July. As for camping you just pretty much camp where you want except close to a water source. Once you get there you'll figure out real quick that it's a big unit and areas that you want to hunt can be separated by a long ways.

Cool pics! Thanks for posting them.

I was just out there for a drive to see the lakes and wasn't looking for turkey. Lake Mary had water going over still but it wasn't over flowing big time.
-
I was out at Mormon Lake yesterday and it has lots of water in it. I didn't take a picture, but it was more than I've seen in a while. Just to give you an idea maybe it was 5/6 full.

You guys did good, congrats.

Yeah not much of anything in Flag. The low went south and it was more of a Phoenix storm.
-
Nice buck, congrats.

"Worst Pig Hunters in Arizona" Break Through
brian390 replied to rossislider's topic in Youth Hunters
Congrats on the successful hunt. Now that you know where a herd hangs, you could go from the worst hunter to the best hunter. -
Congrats on a successful javelina hunt. You guys obviously have pig hunting down.

It almost looks like the table mesa road in unit 21. That's just a guess, but I've been on that road and I won't be back. I'm glad that you guys are ok.
