    Unit 32 Galiuro Wilderness Access

We used to go up the fourmile area but now I guess that it's closed. I used to like ranchers but now I'm starting to wonder. This is depressing to hear and I wish somehow they could regain access for hunters.

    Leftover poll

I got really lucky and got the leftover 12a fall turkey tag. lol. I'm wondering if they will get rid of them all? It's always fun to go check out the kaibab though.

1st and 2nd season turkey hunters

Good luck to all of the first season turkey hunters starting tomorrow. I will be hunting the first season this year, and helping others on their second season hunts. It's looking like we might get some wind the first couple of days, but Sunday is looking better. I will post how my hunts go, and don't forget to do the same.

    lesson learned- turkeys and crows.

Cool story it sounded exciting. I used to carry a decoy around, but I got tired of carrying the extra stuff around. I find it easier just sitting in front of a tree and calling them in.

1st and 2nd season turkey hunters

In the unit I'm hunting I think that the birds went silent. Thursday I heard a bird, but yesterday I didn't hear a gobble all day. I have a friend that is hunting another unit and he said that they're gobbling good but won't commit. Is anyone else having a hard time this year?

1st and 2nd season turkey hunters

I went out this morning and the weather was good. I had one gobbling from about 5am to 5:30am and then it shut up. I just don't think that they're that hot right now or they could have hens, but who knows.

1st and 2nd season turkey hunters

I didn't go out Friday evening because of the wind. The next time that I got out was Saturday evening and roosted a bird. My brother didn't happen to get sleep so we didn't go in the morning, which makes for likely a lucky bird. This evening I didn't hear any gobbles. How is everyone else doing on their hunts?

1st and 2nd season turkey hunters

I was out this morning and got my first gobbles at about 5:20am. They gobbled about eight times between the two of them then stopped. I believe that we got the same two gobbling from 8am to 9am, and then they stopped again at 9am. The wind is making the hunting tough right now.
