I bought two of the moultrie trace premise, and checked them over the weekend. The cams were out for 3 weeks, great pics. These cams need a delay, but there is none. Camera #1 = 3600 pics. Camera #2 = 5617 pics. All pics were animals, but if the elk hang out for 3-4 hours a day the camera needs a delay. I have 4 cams set with over 10,000 pics in 3 weeks. Two of the cams are a different brand, or I would have 20,000.

Sorry to hear this, I haven't had any stolen yet after a # of years. I have 4 up now for early bull rifle, and thats more than I usually hang. My luck will probably run out.

Any members that do this or can do it on the side? Thanks.

not sure about the area your referring to but most waterholes and roads cut are for cattle, cut by ranchers, lots are/were maintained by ranchers and if there's a lease then they need access. Can fully block a road for them or emergency services if needed. That's why the FS uses signs. No comprende. Most of the time I cant find a sign.

I think I get your idea. If more roads are closed you have some easy mule pack hunting. A road is a road not a mule pack trail. If it is actually closed to vehicular access then no vehicles. Have to see the sign. If there is not a sign 50% or more will travel that road. You like the idea because you have mules. I have a rhino and boots, so to each his own. I dont try to break the law or play stupid, I dont have the time to check and learn every new federal regulation, law and map. I try but its going to be a loosing battle.

If I set up my toy hauler 30ft off the road and pull out the awning and set an easy up, my camp fire will be in the road. Great idea.

I have already been on a couple of well traveled roads in 6b, that I later learned were closed. The closed roads I encountered were better than the open roads. I know if I walk into one to hunt someone will drive in behind me. The recreational forest users dont carry these maps and have no idea. I see them camped by water holes all the time. One road I drove on had the big steel gate with a road closed sign on the open gate. If the road is closed imo the fs needs to get to work and close them. It shouldnt be our problem to figure it out.
