I have tinkered with about everything mentioned here. My opinion, browning xbolt. Best factory gun for the money. After the rebate I bought mine for less than $450. Another good one was the tc compass. Just my thoughts. Really can't go wrong with most of what was said here. I do agree with spending as much as you can on a good scope. Let us know what you decide

I found this on another site, seemed fitting for a few threads on here.
my contribution to 100 pages
I really don't want to know what other sites you are looking at.

I think they have fixed the zipper issue. I sent my super day pack back a couple months ago. It had a few straps that broke stitching from packing too much meat. $12 shipping and 10 days later it was back as good as new.

We had some good spots scouted in 8, but only heard 2 gobbles all weekend. They just turned off.

We have 3 xbolts. None are the hells canyon, but all shoot awesome. I bought an xbolt .270wsm for $400 from reeds. It shoots as good as any gun I own

I have a set of 15x 50 Brunton eternas and a set of 11.5 x 45's. Both show normal signs of wear, but the glass is in good shape. No major dings or scratches. I would like to get $350 for both sets. I will post pictures later today

I can't believe guys are worried about this. I doubt this will improve harvest by more than a few animals each year. Look back in 10 years and regret this, no I'll look back in 10 years and regret not saving our public lands. This is a dumb thing to worry about

There already are options & seasons for people with disabilities. Apply for an early rifle hunt/muzzy hunt and hunt it with a arrow gun if you want to hunt in Sept. This is what rifle & muzzy hunters have to do if this is the time period they want to hunt. There are already too many abuses of people using crossbows during archery season and this will take it to a whole new level IMO. If it is a temporary injury or recent injury we now have point guard and tag can be turned in without giving up points. Wasn't that one of the main arguments G&F made when defending it? I specifically remember them saying "life happens" and point guard is now there to protect you.
I am a little confused on why G&F is doing this now when there are no other states that allow it. Looks like a solution in search of a problem to me. So many bigger issues than this and the dept. does not even address them.
I have written G&F fish and encouraged others to do the same. No arrow guns during archery seasons.
Plenty of states allow it. Look it up

Personally, I think archery only seasons should be restricted to compounds & traditional equipment, drawn and held under the stress of holding the draw
weight. Anybody not capable of doing so needs to get a firearm/muzzleloader permit. Got no issue with a champ permit for archery only seasons providing the issue is mobility and not the inability to use a compound or traditional bow.
IIRC, archery is supposed to be a primitive weapon season. A scoped airbow capable of 450 fps is not what I'd call a primitive weapon.
FLAME ON!
I wouldn't call a compound bow primitive

I would be more concerned with how easy it is to get the permit. This is really not an issue.

Lots of private land around garland prairie. Last year a few guys got in trouble for shooting too close to houses. Scouting now to learn the area is good but the bucks really seem to move around during the rut. Good luck on your hunt!
